Amsler Grid

help detect early signs of retinal disease and monitor changes in vision
after diagnosis

Amsler Chart
The Amsler grid is used to check whether lines look wavy or distorted,
or whether areas of the visual field are missing.

Snellen Chart
chart used to measure visual acuity by determining the level of visual
detail that a person can discriminate.

In the low vision group (<20/200), represented by patients with AMD

 Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive diagnostic


technique that renders an in vivo cross sectional view of the retina
Fluorescein Angiography (FA) is a diagnostic procedure that uses a
special camera to record the blood flow in the RETINA – the light
sensitive tissue at the back of the eye.
