“Bag of Beans, one of the well-known restaurant/cafe in Tagaytay City”

Bag of Beans Tagaytay was established in 2002 and currently has 5 branches all around
Tagaytay and Cavite, serves delicious hot and iced coffee, rice meals that can fit two people
because of the large servings and also desserts and delicacy from all around the world like
leche flan, ube and garlic bread. It is a very nice place and is very pleasing to the eyes. They
change their interior designs every month depending on the season or the fiestas that are
happening in Tagaytay. It has a very nice interior design and dining where you can eat either
inside or outside if you want to feel the cold breeze of Tagaytay City.

We as a family, liked to go there whenever we have a special occasion to celebrate like

birthdays, homecoming of relatives or even whenever we feel like going to Tagaytay to feast our
eyes with the beautiful views of Tagaytay especially on the Bags of Bean, Twin Lakes Branch
with one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen and to feast on their delicious foods.
People go to Bag of Beans mainly because it is in Tagaytay. Tagaytay is very famous for having
very delicious foods from restaurants and because of the cold breeze because Tagaytay is uphill
compared to industrial areas like Makati and Manila. Many are amazed by the interior design
and they have very delicious coffee and desserts and as far as I know, they are now also
serving breakfast and lunch buffets and also caters birthdays. It is a long drive especially since
we are from Makati City but for us it is very worth the 4-hour drive for food and sightseeing and
also for the cold breeze that is not common for us in industrial areas. Some may argue that the
price may be too high but as I mentioned earlier their rice meals are big enough for two people
to finish and the buffet price that ranges from P699 for kids and P1299 for adults for me is too
expensive but if you want to eat good food without limits and you can afford it then you may be
in for a good meal.

Upon entering the restaurant, they have an entrance that may look like they only serve coffees
because of the interior of having umbrellas on top, small library for coffee lovers and many
more. You are assisted and asked how many are you when dining as a family or only solo
dining, they have good customer service and you are given the menu. The food price ranges
from P200 for a solo meal to P500 if you want “ulam” that is fit enough for all of you and P100
for hot or iced coffee. For us, it is an affordable price because usually me and my brothers share
one solo meal and add one rice because of the large serving that can fit the two of us and have
water and iced tea for our drinks. But as for the buffet, it’s too pricey for a small selection of food
especially for kids who don’t drink coffee and for me it is one of the highlights of their restaurant
and the place for me is large and really has a great atmosphere that is suitable for everyone so
for me, it is a very nice dining experience if you and your family will go to Tagaytay.

The details of the interior design is one of the reasons we always go back to this restaurant, it
looks like a coffee shop and a restaurant at the same time and has a GREAT ambience for
anyone who wants to relax, study and spend quality time together. Overall it has an ambience
that can make your mind relax and bring peace and quiet for your quality time with yourself or
others.

I have said many great things about this restaurant and I do know that they deserve these good
ratings from me and from other people that have dined here, it can be because of the ambience,
food, coffee or everything about this restaurant in general. But, the only problem of mine and
also with others is the convenience of going to Tagaytay and also the comfort of the restaurant
or in general outdoor dining or al fresco. This restaurant’s outside dining or al fresco doesn’t
really look as pleasing as you may see in pictures because in the night time mosquitos are
almost invading the place and can cause inconvenience in your dining. As you already
expected from people giving this restaurant good reviews, Bag of Beans Tagaytay is a very
well-known restaurant and many people go there. There are many inconveniences like full
parking, full dining and sometimes they don’t accept reservations. Some famous people of our
country have dined here like the Rain or Shine team of the PBA and helped boost the
restaurant's exposure. Even just going to Tagaytay is already a hassle, there are so so so many
restaurants in Tagaytay and some are well-known and because of this there are traffic jams and
also almost no parking space that wishes to go to Tagaytay to eat good food and see great
views, and also the price isn’t suitable for everyone and there are many restaurants that has
lower price ranges but with the same serving as Bag of Beans Tagaytay.

But, for me, I will still recommend this restaurant for people who look for fine dining with good
food, coffee and ambience with an affordable price and great customer service. I would rate this
a 4.5 out of 5 stars because of the inconvenience of going to Tagaytay and the other
inconveniences of securing parking spots and al fresco dining but overall this is still a great
restaurant with great food and ambience for you and your loved ones.
