Part 145
European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 Approval is a company level
certification to the European Commission Regulation standards of design,
production, maintenance and operation of aircraft components. An aircraft
component is described as any product, part, or appliance installed in European
aircraft. EASA Part 145, similar to FAR Part 145, applies to the aircraft
maintenance sector. It is the standards for the certification and operation of an
aircraft maintenance organization, such as a repair station, and its employees.

For U.S. based organizations, the standards are harmonized with Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) standards such that a company can gain EASA Part 145
approval upon successful submission of an existing FAA Certified Repair Station
certificate.
