3. INSPECTION ACTIVITIES:
I. INTRODUCTION:

THIS REPORT IS THE RESULT OF THE AIR COMPRESSOR INSPECTION AND TESTING CARRIED OUT

AIR COMPRESSOR LOCATED AT WORKSHOP

III. Scope of inspection/Activities done on Site:

Air Compressors Inspection As follow:


 Check the inlet/outlet piping system for integrity.
 Check the foundation and any structural supporting system to the compressor.
 Check the pressure control devices and safety pressure devices as safety
 Pressure relief valves or rupture discs and likewise.
 Check the performance of the compressor as stated in the manufacturer manual.
 Review the manufacturer operation and/ or maintenance manual.
 Thickness Measurements for the two heads and shell.

IV. INSPECTION RESULT:

OPERATION CONDITIONS:

W HEN CHECKING THE OPERATION PRESSURE OF THE COMPRESSOR WE FOUND THE START STOP
PRESSURES OF THE COMPRESSOR AS FOLLOWS:

 STOP AT PRESSURE 10 BAR AND THEN STARTS AT PRESSURE 7.5 BAR. (SEE PHOTOS 7&8) WHILE
THE DESIGN PRESSURE OF THE COMPRESSOR IS 10 BAR & SAFETY VALVE SET PRESSURE IS 11.5 BAR.
(SEE PHOTO 6).
 ALL PRESSURE GAUGES AND SAFETY VALVE ARE BRAND NEW .
 DUE TO THE ABOVE CONDITIONS SO THE RESULT IS SATISFACTORY.

VISUAL INSPECTION WAS SATISFACTORY AT THE TIME OF INSPECTION.


THICKNESS MEASUREMENTS CARRIED OUT WHILE THE NOMINAL THICKNESS IS UNKNOWN AT THE TIME OF THE
INSPECTION.

CONCLUSION:

THE OVERALL EVALUATION AFTER PERFORMING AIR COMPRESSOR INSPECTION ACTIVITIES DESCRIBED IN THE
ABOVE MENTIONED SCOPE IS SATISFACTORY NEVERTHELESS, RECOMMENDATIONS OBSERVED DURING THE
INSPECTION SHALL BE CLEARED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ACCORDING TO THE BELOW MENTIONED ACTION
POINTS.

1- ABSENCE OF RELATIVE DOCUMENTS SUCH AS MANUFACTURER DATA REPORT OR ANY MANUFACTURER


RELEASE REPORTS INCLUDING THE VESSEL MATERIAL, ORIGINAL VESSEL THICKNESS, OPERATION MANUAL.

(SEE PHOTOS FROM 1 TO 8 GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE COMPRESSOR)

2- THICKNESS MEASUREMENT FOR THE COMPRESSOR SHELL AND HEADS ATTACHED IN THE THICKNESS REPORT
WHILE THE ORIGINAL THICKNESSES IS UNKNOWN SO WE COULD NOT OBSERVE THE THICKNESS LOSS OR
CORROSION RATE FROM OUR READINGS.
