Classroom Reflection - Agus Sufyan

Week 1

At the first meeting, I felt a little scared because I entered the campus and wanted to know
what I would do differently on other days as it made students dizzy. Still, this English lecturer
at the first meeting taught students, especially my experience -an interesting experience he
was abroad he told much foreign promiscuity. What makes me surprised is that there are
many LGBT people. It's not a rumor. Even in the realm of campus, it's a commonplace

We also learned on the first day how to pronounce. I think my pronunciation was wrong in
English, but it turned out to be interesting. Words that were seen from a far different
perspective, such as Arabic, are understood, and at the first meeting, we also discussed
learning contracts in general. Other lecturers I am new to knowing about this are very
different from schools because each lecturer has a learning contract.

The introduction was mandatory on the first day. We didn't know where we came from. This
was the right step to take because we ourselves were in class at that time, and we didn't know
where our friends came from and which graduates. It turns out that at UIN Jakarta, the
average student has come from not a boarding school graduate. It turns out that Mr. Agus
Sufyan is from Cirebon. I am indeed a Cirebonan, but when I went to high school there, I was
a little proud of the city of Cirebon because he was great at studying abroad using a
scholarship.

Week 2

In the second week, my favorite lecturer didn't come because of outside interests.

Week 3

The third day is challenging, in my opinion, because I think there are 16 tenses. It turns out
that only 12 are often used today because the lesson given by Mr. Agus Sufyan is different
from other lecturers. In my opinion, this course is the most interesting because I noticed in
other classes that many students were sleepy, especially in the 2nd hour. After all, maybe it
was time to nap. Agus Sufyan doesn't. In this 2nd week, he teaches tenses in a way that is like
a game. For each group, we think our leader will explain it. It turns out that I'm not here at the
same time learning about the meaning of leadership, and that's exactly what I was chosen to
explain to our group. Still, I lacked knowledge about tenses, so our group lost. And strangely
enough, it turned out that in the English course, the hallmark is that the loser will stand up.
Interestingly, our group can compete for a little with the Rakhaa group, even though I admit
they excel in the subject. This is also my new motivation that there are many more intelligent
people out there, it's not in vain I study far even though sometimes I miss my family, but the
effort will not betray the results.
Week 4

In the fourth week, it should be fun, but it turned out that on that day using balloons, I had
been traumatized person with balloons since I was in elementary school. I don't know why I
felt it when I saw the balloon. I felt like throwing up, so sorry, Mr. Agus Sufyan, I didn't go
to class in the fourth week, but I respect it because he understands that I have a phobia of
balloons.

Week 5

This 5th week, Mr. Agus he doesn't come to class. Maybe there are other activities. We were
given a task that was a little complicated in groups, namely identifying sentences according
to the active or passive tenses of the sentence. I thought this was easy, but it didn't match my
expectations. I have to keep learning. Again English because this is interesting, I became
interested in English, so I also joined the organization or, instead, the new program created by
the Dema, namely the Tarbiyah Language Club. I hope that here I can develop not only on
campus because studying at the university is very short, only three days, back again in this
fifth week, but we also divide the tasks of each person gets their respective share and
uniquely, Mr. Agus Sufyan gives what prize if he gets the highest group score then he may
not enter during the study hours. This is interesting and unique compared to other lecturers.
which is a little boring. This English lecturer is fascinating. I understand students and what
makes students excited to do it. I'm struggling with the tenses because it's in the shape of a
certificate, but English is a fascinating subject, in my opinion.

Week 6

In the sixth week, my friends and I played bingo. I did not understand this game because I
had never played this game before. I was a little confused. Mr. Agus Sufyan, As usual, said
that the winner of this game would sit.

Besides playing bingo, we also learned about words. It turns out that people's knowledge is
different. Here, there are words my friends don't know, but I know, and vice versa. I am
known because before that, Mr. Agus Sufyan gave us a paper containing the story's text with
many words that I didn't know. The blackboard was also filled with pens by my friends and
me this week, I was with Faisal in a group, and he is also like me many words we don't know
on the paper that contain the story. That is how we students learn the desire to continue to
grow is powerful.

Week 7

At this meeting in the seventh week, I don't feel like I'm already a few weeks away from the
Mid-Semester Examination. At this meeting, Mr. Agus Sufyan informed him that there was a
TOEFL test that he would hold, but this TOEFL test had to be carried out simultaneously by
other classes, not only our class. In this TOEFL test, Mr. Agus Sufyan Wants to measure or
know students' knowledge. At that time, friends and I discussed when the test started. He also
said this test should take place this week while, on the other hand, activities from majors must
be done. We also discussed it with another class, and the result of the TOEFL test was carried
out at night.

Week 8
In the eighth week of the day, the sooner, I didn't think it had been two months since I was in
college. On that day, I got the value from my TOEFL results which I did honestly, but I did it
with no enthusiasm during the TOEFL at that time because it was done at night. It took 3
hours while I finished work, which made me lazy to do the grades I got. This English
language is also an encouragement for me so that when I retake the TOEFL test, I hope to get
a result of 600. I hope that happens.

This page is a bit longer than before because Mr. Agus Sufyan talked about the advantages of
overseas campuses compared to campuses in Indonesia. It turns out that journals are obtained
quickly and for free, which is very different from here, where looking for journals is very
difficult. We enter various websites. Make students lazy to read journals.

Mr. Agus Sufyan told the campus facilities and how enthusiastic the students were in
learning. I was shocked when I learned that we have to queue if we want to borrow and read
books. We have to rent the place in advance. Honestly, this amazed me because of their
interest in reading. Very high compared to the reading interest of Indonesians. There are also
students there who work as a librarian. I am amazed because this makes me want to try
studying there, and hopefully, it will be achieved. The words that I remember most on that
day are that campus facilities must be used as well as possible it's excellent and useless if the
facilities are good, but the students are stupid.

In addition to discussing that, Mr. Agus Sufyan also said that if there were students who
brought in 10 million in money in 5 years, he would help those students to study abroad.
Honestly, this makes me excited. Hopefully, I can continue my master's education there. I
want to know more about the world. Broad again adding to the experience of being young,
the core of the meeting that day, in my opinion, don't give up on your dreams, be faithful to
them. Hopefully, I can study abroad one day. Thanks, Mr. Agus Sufyan, for teaching
uniquely.
