Today, a majority of children are raised by their grandparents due to
the fact that their parents are busy working. To what extent do you
think it affects the whole family?
In recent years, it has become far more common to witness the fact that
there is a large number of children being brought up by their grandparents
as their parents spend most of their time at work. Yet, there remains some
disagreement as to whether the overall effect of this propensity has been
positive or negative. While there are certainly valid arguments to the
contrary, it is my personal belief that the benefits far outweigh the
drawbacks. The reasons are as follows.

On the one hand, it is an indisputable fact that children are grown by their
grandparents when their parents are constantly working could be seen as
favourable for the following reasons. First and foremost, grandparents are
the trustworthy caretakers of their children. Parents can leave their children
with grandparents and work with peace of mind. They will feed them and
take care of them more than they care for their own children. Additionally,
parents could let children stay at home with their grandparents, needlessly
to bring them to daycare centres. Furthermore, it saves 20% of the family
income as additional babysitting or daycare services are saved. In the event
of a minor illness, grandchildren are well cared for by their grandparents,
who have extensive experience raising their own children and have been
successful parents for a long time.More specifically, grandparents take
particular care of their grandkids and spend the entire day with them, which
prevents the children from missing their parents as much as a babysitter
would.

On the other hand, this trend could also be viewed unfavourable owing to
the fact that this tendency might create some detrimental impacts on
grandparents’ endurance. As grandparents become older, bone and joint
issues, as well as caring for children, become increasingly challenging,
compromising both their health and life expectancy because they are too
weary to look after their grandkids. Children who spend the most of their
time with their grandparents may have a negative impact on their
connection with their parents. A notable example of this is how young kids
in several nations, notably India, are cared for by their grandparents while
their parents focus on their careers. As a result, kids do not have enough
time to get to know their parents and do not form a loving attachment with
them.
By the way of conclusion, once again do I reaffirm my position that a
plethora of children being grown by their grandparents while their parents
are busy working has more advantages than disadvantages.
