The DOW construction laboratory has completed the compatibility testing in support of your above referenced
project.
The compatibility tests are performed in accordance to the adapted ASTM C1087. A summary of this laboratory

Based on the ASTM C-1087 test method, compatible or approved results indicate that the Dow silicone sealants
tested adhered to the test material. ASTM C-1087 is a qualitative adhesion test but a good indication for non-
moving applications. Compatible or approved results from the above test indicate that Dow sealant tested is not
adversely affected by contact with the test material sampled. Dow will not comment on whether the Dow sealant
will affect the test material sampled. You must consult with the supplier of the test material sampled to receive
their statement on compatibility.
Based on the results of the above test, we have determined that the Dow sealant tested is not adversely affected
by contact with the cured sealant product tested. Dow will not comment on whether the Dow sealant will affect the
sealant product tested. You must consult with the supplier of the sealant product for their statement on
compatibility. Dow cannot control any formulation changes by the sealant manufacturer which may affect
compatibility. To ensure full compatibility between sealants, we recommend that you consider the use of an
equivalent Dow product for this application.
For structural glazing application, the results of the compatibility testing are only valid when Dow has approved
glazing details, and has tested and approved all substrates and accessory materials that contact the structural
silicone sealant.
The results of the compatibility testing are only valid as long as the supplier certifies that neither the formulation
nor manufacturing process for these materials has been changed.
Application recommendations are based on Dow laboratory testing, evaluation and technical specifications.
