Control measures to be taken:


C1 According to the calculated load, appropriate cables shall be laid to withstand the load.
C2 Line-diagram for the temporary distribution up to the sub Db’s shall be prepared and displayed in the DB itself.
C3 All cables will be properly glanded.
C4 The electrical distribution board shall be of recommended type and no makeshift arrangement will be made.
C5 Proper earthing arrangements shall be made and no electric circuit shall be without proper earthing.
C6 Proper MCBs and ELCBs must be fixed in the D Bs.
C7 Cable laid to sub DBS shall be in good condition and any joint made shall be of standard method.
C8 All the plugs and sockets shall be of industrial type.
C9 Caution signs and load distribution drawing shall be displayed on DB boards.
C10 DB will be kept closed always and the key will be with competent person.
C11 Power cables will be buried wherever possible.
C12 Cables laid across the access way shall be suitably protected (goal posts for overhead crossings).
C13 Check with tester for power supply before attending any faults/ maintenance work
C14 Cable markers shall be provided to mark the buried cables.
C15 Ensure Sufficient C02 Extinguishers are placed in all cabins.
C16 Ensure step type ladder is inspected and free from defects.
C17 Ensure cables routed inside the cabin doesn’t come in pathways.
C18 Use Full Body harness when work is above 2.5 Meters from ground reference.
