What is Duolingo?
Duolingo is the world's largest online language learning platform.
We use science and adaptive learning techniques so that the experience of
learning more fun and effective, as well as being completely free.
Our mobile applications were recognized as the iPhone Application
of the Year for 2013 by Apple and the Best of the Best of Google Play for 2013 and 2014.
Currently the world's largest online language learning platform
is developing specific tools for language teachers. Duolingo
for Schools continues to evolve rapidly thanks to the multiple tests and
feedback from teachers, administrators, teaching experts, professors,
parents and students; and we are creating more unique tools for
engage and excite everyone.
How does Duolingo work?
Duolingo turns language learning into a game to make it more fun
and cash. Students can learn for free while earning points
for answering correctly, practicing against the clock, and leveling up. Our
personalized and short lessons help students retain content
learned. An independent study* showed that using Duolingo for 34 hours is
comparable to a semester language class at the university level.
Tree of units
Every language has a tree of
units that map your course.
You start by learning the
basic concepts and words
of the language and according Custom pace
you progress each unit As you go through
it becomes more complex. from the tree you unlock the
following lessons and
units. You can't move forward if
you have not completed the
previous units. The goal is
complete all lessons
and units in the tree, and
master the language!
Keeping Students Motivated.
Motivation is important for learning. Duolingo has a variety of
features designed to keep students interested in learning.
