TASK PERFORMANCE
Aspects and Impacts Analysis

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Using your chosen organization in the earlier task performance, conduct an
aspects and impacts analysis. For manufacturing/merchandising companies with multiple products,
select a particular one for this activity (i.e., Burger Mcdo of McDonald’s or iPhone smartphone of Apple).
For service-oriented firms, simply detail the relevant activities involved in the delivery of the service and
its possible environmental aspect/s and impact/s (i.e., spa services acquire essential oils to suppliers
which involves transport). Using organizational analysis, life cycle assessment (LCA), and issue by issue,
cite the activities involved in producing/providing your selected product/service along with its
corresponding environmental aspect/s and impact/s. Then, provide control measures to minimize or
eliminate the identified impacts. You may use the back of this activity sheet or additional sheets of paper
as needed.

Organizational Analysis (20 points)

Activities Environmental Aspect Environmental Impact
Transport issues like arranging delivery into Global warming and climate change
Inbound logistics their restaurant, shipping of raw materials,
and distribution centers
High consumption of beef, methane gases Green house effect, lost of green forest
Operations coming from the cow’s ranch, large scale opening for plantation activities.

Transport issues like delivering or moving Global warming and climate change
Outbound logistics goods (Burger Mcdo) out to customers,
shipping.

Marketing and sales to recycle environmental waste.

Food delivery service, hard to recycle Environmental waste, global warming,

Service packaging for food delivery or take outs and climate change

Important note: Focus on the primary activities for instances when information about the secondary activities of the firm is not
available.

Important note: In contrast to organizational analysis (that presents a general assessment of the firm’s activities), LCA must
identify specific activities. Similarly, environmental aspect/s and impact/s must also be specific.
