1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 ABSTRACT

The issue of having Khen Rafael Pedraza has had a great impact on the life of Chezka Mae

Guernaldo. Given that they’ve known each other for a short amount of time, it emphasizes pure

happiness and laughter. This study, which was carried out in Nasugbu, Batangas, focuses more

on the effects of having Khen Rafael Pedraza in the life of Chezka Mae Guernaldo. The study

will be focusing on her and the effects of having him in her life. Data will be collected from

Chezka Mae Guernaldo using a questionnaire survey, while an interview will be conducted to

collect information from her. Information collected from the survey is analyzed, and the result of

the findings is shown in later paragraphs.

1.2 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

In recent months, the issue of having Khen Rafael Pedraza in the life of Chezka Mae Guernaldo

has been a major concern. It has been an advantage for Chezka to have Khen in her life, but they

still need a lot of things to figure out. According to Chezka (2022), these types of problems

might arise when the two of them don’t communicate with each other. Considering the things

they don’t know and the things that they are not comfortable with,

The concept of having Khen Rafael Pedraza in the life of Chezka Mae Guernaldo has been a

thing now. He became her peace, her safe place, and her home. Having him has gone beyond

what she dreamed of (Chezka, 2022). Having Khen Rafael Pedraza in the life of Chezka Mae

Guernaldo in general does not only mean smiles and laughter. It will also be a mission where you

will face many difficulties, but it will be worth it in the end.

According to Chezka (2022), having Khen Rafael Pedraza in the life of Chezka Mae Guernaldo

can be defined as beautiful as a sunset, as calming as waves, and as peaceful as a night sky. He

certainly changed her life in the most unexpected way.

Khen Rafael Pedraza has become a standard in Chezka's life; he's as precious as a baby, as soft as

a pillow, and as sweet as candy. Their imperfections, which were made perfectly, are the

highlight of their story.

2. LITERATURE REVIEW

Research has concluded, without a doubt, that a person responds with their entire body when

they feel desire. As stated earlier, when one is around an object of their desire, adrenaline is

released, at least in the early stages. Adrenaline, also known as epinephrine, which is both a

neurotransmitter and hormone, is released from the adrenal medulla during the “fight or flight

response.” (Sherwood, 188). This response, activated by the body’s sympathetic nervous system,

prepares the body for the decision to either fight the stressor, or “flight”, to run away from the

attack. During this reaction, the person’s heart rate increases, the pupils dilate, the sweat glands

are stimulated, and the brain becomes increasingly more alert. This reaction, the sweating, the

dilated pupils, the increased heart rate, is exactly how people describe the feeling and energy of

being “in love”.

There is a very distinct scent that each body gives off, however it is not necessarily consciously

noted. Of course, as the human race has evolved, so have the litany of grooming habits. People

now bathe frequently, use scented soaps, buy perfume or cologne, all in the hopes to make

themselves more attractive to their potential mates. However, it is interesting to note that, while
one may drench themselves with all of the cologne in the world, if a potential mate isn’t attracted

to the person’s pheromones, there isn’t much chance of love.

While neurotransmitters do play an enormous part in the brain’s role in falling in love, there are

structures of the brain itself that change when a person is in love. A study done by Helen Fisher,

Lucy Brown and Arthur Aron demonstrated this change. In this study, couples who described

themselves as “intensely in love” were recruited, and while they were looking at a picture of

their beloved, their brains were scanned by an fMRI. “The researchers saw a glow in several

regions of the lovers’ brains, representing blood flow. Among them were three important clusters

of brain cells related to motivation and reward…the right ventral tegmental area (VTA), the

medial caudate nucleus, and the nucleus accumbens.” (Pincott, 283) These parts of the brain are

known as the reward centers. When these areas are activated, the person “feels good”, which is

due to the fact that dopamine is being released by the VTA to the caudate nucleus and the

nucleus accumbens. As previously discussed, dopamine is the “feel good” chemical. Being in

love causes dopamine to be released and makes one feel good, which then causes the person to

spend more time with their mate. The more time couples spend together in the early stages of the

relationship, the more the neurotransmitters are subsequently released. The more

neurotransmitters that are released, the more the couples want to spend time together. This is an

ever-repeating cycle, which leads to an “addiction”. And, as previously stated, dopamine plays a

very important role in addiction. This idea of reward/punishment will be discussed further in the

following section.
3. DATA COLLECTION

3.1 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This study uses two methods of collecting information. The two methods comprise questionnaire

survey and interview. The questionnaire targets Chezka Mae Guernlado. Questionnaires and the

Interview will only be distributed to Chezka Mae Guernaldo.

3.2 RESEARCH RESULTS

A total number of 1 questionnaire were distributed to Chezka Mae Guernaldo. 1 questionnaire

were collected successfully. Analysis was based on the 4 useful questionnaires. The demography

of the respondents comprises name and age.

The Findings

The mean frequency of group data starting from Most of the time "I'", Some of the time "2", Not

very often "3", and Never "4"

As we can see in the graph below, Chezka’s response to the first question is "most of the time."

To her, Khen Rafael Pedraza makes her happy. Everything about him makes her happy; all the

little things that he does, the faces he makes, and him just being himself.

Moreover, to the second question, does he make her feel special? Her response is that most of the

time also, Khen never disappoints in making her special. Just being there and supporting her

through everything that she does is already enough for her, but still he makes things that Chezka

is shocked about, like giving her some flowers and especially one of his jerseys.
Continuing, for the third question, does he make Chezka sad? Some of the time, Khen often

makes her sad due to not seeing each other more often. She always misses Khen.

Lastly, does he make her overthink it? Her response is, "Not very often," as Khen always assures

her, but she’s scared when he's still outside late and that’s the only thing that overthinks her.

3.3 RESEARCH DISCUSSION

This study examines the impact of Khen Pedraza on Chezka Mae Guernaldo's life. Khen Rafael

Pedraza and Chezka Mae Guernaldo will profit from this research by learning more about each

other's effects. The research looked into the factors that influence Khen Rafael Pedraza's impact

on Chezka Mae Guernaldo's life and how he can make her realize things.

Chezka (2022) Almost everything is fine for her with him. It provided her with numerous

advantages, including having someone who is pleased with her in everything she does, someone

who compliments her even if she looks like a chicken in the morning, and someone who makes

her feel protected.

Having Khen Rafael Pedraza has been the best thing Chezka could have hoped for. With him,

everything is perfectly imperfect

3.4 RESEARCH SUGGESTION

Khen Rafael Pedraza and Chezka Mae Guernaldo should try new things in order to grow as

individuals. Seeing a movie or having a little get-together where they may share their goofy

sides.

3.5 RESEARCH CONCLUSION

In this paper, we have seen the effects of Khen Rafael Pedraza in the life of Chezka Mae

Guernaldo. He has brought color again to her life. The joy and company that he always gives her

makes her feel special. Nonetheless, he’s one of the best people for her, and she couldn’t ask for

more. So God, let him be happy and feel like he’s special, and he deserves all the goodness in

life.
