1. What do you think is the meaning of the quote above?

The quote simple imply that heroes stem from their everyday struggle either small or big. Small victories
matter and subjective. heroes are not simply born with heroic qualities but are shaped by their environment,
culture, and social upbringing. Hence, hero is not made nor born but as such from their environment setting.
2. What is the implication of the quote in shaping our country?
This means that current struggles of the Filipinos today that is happening in our environment will be
brought about many heroes on their own to claim victorious moments in order to claim what is right and what is
for them. And If we want to build a nation of heroes, we must focus on creating a supportive and positive social
environment that encourages heroism. We must also acknowledge the power of external factors such as social
and economic conditions, cultural norms, and historical events in shaping an individual's heroism.
3. Is it necessary to be conscious and aware of what it is happening in our society? Why?
Yes, it is necessary to be conscious and aware of what is happening in our society. By being aware and
informed, we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of our social milieu and take steps to promote positive
change. We can also recognize and celebrate the heroism of ordinary people who make a difference in our own
communities.

1. What current significant event in the country fueled or awakens your Filipino nationalism? Cite one
example of how you can express your Filipino nationalism.
The current significant event that had happened in our country that awaken my Filipino nationalism is when
the government proposed phasing out the old jeepney. This is because it has gone beyond just the jeepney
modernization but our culture and the welfare of the jeepney drivers who are affected to it. In line with this, I can
express my Filipino nationalism through voicing out the concern of the many and be pro-active in making a
difference to come up a win-win situation for the general betterment of all Filipinos.
