Tips
The total number of stitches you should have will be in parentheses at the end of each row.
ex: (20)
Translation: 20 stitches in the row

Any repeated actions within a row will also be in parentheses, alongside the number of times
that action will be taken in that row. ex: (2dc, inc) x 10
Translation: Two double crochets then increase on the third, repeat this 10 times

(Note: I use the term “double crochet,” but it is also called a “single crochet” in the US.)

Tools: 10mm crochet hook, large sewing needle, scissors

Wool: 2 x chunky white yarn, 2 x chunky red yarn, 1 x bulky brown yarn

DRUMMY BUCKET — PAGE 3

Using white yarn and a 10mm hook:

TOP AND 1. Working with only white yarn, select either side of the tube and any hole along the edge between rows,
BOTTOM slip stitch, then 1ch.

Proceed to dc in holes between each row, totaling 56 sts (56).

Slip stitch, connecting first ch to last dc, cut yarn, leaving a long tail to sew back into the work, hiding it.

This is the top of the bucket.

2. For the bottom, repeat process of row 1 on other side of tube. Do not slip stitch or cut yarn (56).
3. dc in each sts (56)
4. dc in each sts (56) then slip stitch, cut, and leave long tail

Proceed to sew the 56 sts of the bottom of the sides to the 56 sts along the perimeter of the base.
Sew any excess yarn back into the work, hiding it.

(Additionally, you can proceed with a sewing needle and any extra yarn to add details to the work.
I’ve sewn a cute face, but you can sew any sort of face you like.)
