The community that was seen during this lesson is something every teacher hopes to have. I
seek to foster respectful communication among all members of the classroom. Students are
continuously encouraged to share their thoughts and ask any questions they might have. If an
educator has created a safe and welcoming environment, students will feel comfortable in
exploring their own identities.
