Direction: Discuss your answer to these questions:

1. When a mother says, “I think my son has a vocation,” what does she mean?
If we were to define vocation using a dictionary as our source, it would be
understood to indicate a strong sense of appropriateness for a specific career or
occupation. That indicates that a person is called to a particular job in which he or she has
the most love to work hard at it since they feel this is where they belong. Also, being
committed to learning and persistent in your efforts to comprehend all facets of life can help
you develop personally and achieve success in the particular vocation you wish to pursue.
There is more than just a choice of careers, too. Every role that a person plays in their life
is included in their vocation, taken in its broadest meaning. Your career has been created.
Your vocation is created by the roles you play and the actions you take, which can range
from a job to family life, or from being active in a community to taking time for yourself.

2. A soldier reports and says, “mission accomplished”. What does this imply? What
does he mean?
In everything we do in life, small or big things, we always do our best, we create
plans, we put so much hard works, ourselves and we always look to a brighter side. We
always wanted to make it accomplish and of course in a very fair way because we wanted
to reach out the expectation and satisfaction to ourselves and from other people. That is
why, based on the given phrase where a soldier reported and says "mission accomplished"
that means he make it. He accomplished and successfully do his work. As a good person,
you should always check to see if individuals understand the fundamentals of recognizing
your life's purpose; if not, don't shame them; instead, educate them. With time, people will
naturally be able to act morally, realizing their goals and declaring their mission done. Also,
at every level of leadership and management, express gratitude for their contribution in
making the mission possible repeatedly. To motivate and spark your team's daily work,
make it your job to assist them in making a meaningful connection. Each of us yearns for
the chance to use our skills to work those matters. It is up to us to demonstrate to everyone
around you that we are in the appropriate position to do such thing we want in our life and
to others.

3. Some teachers regard teaching as just a job. Others see it as their mission. What’s
the difference?
When we say job, it talks about a specific career of an individual while mission is
having that strong feeling to do such thing with a cause either it’s a career or not and
mission is explaining who you are, what you do, and who you do it for.
Yes, it is probably true that teacher in teaching field is a job/profession because it
refers to a person who take responsibility in imparting knowledge in different courses to
the learners. And it is true as well that some other people see teaching as a mission.
In life, every individual has its own perspective in such thing. For me, it doesn’t
matter if other people see teaching as a job or a mission. What matters the most is that
you are passionate of what you are doing especially in teaching field. It is very much
important to understand the attributes of a real teacher. You must possess different
characteristic such as empathy, passion, good communicator, adaptive and many more in
order for you to connect yourselves to your learners. Moreover, teacher take the
responsibility for the future of someone’s life. They are the one who give so much effort to
disseminate knowledge and relevant information that can open up the mind of learners in
different aspects of life that can be able to help them to know what they want and who they
wanted to be on the future. Moreover, a teacher is not just someone who will give
instructions to learners but someone who will look up to by anyone in a positive and
influenced.
