COMPANY’S HISTORY

ARANDIA COLLEGE HISTORY

An institution of learning emerges as a result of a dire necessity in a peculiar environment

destined to be born, existed to be become, surfaced to contribute that is expected in a

community although not planned, nor imagined rather, it came to exist, for no reason at all:

yet, the greatest purpose of its being, it happened, as it happened to the dot. Surely, it was a

reality that meandered afterwards. A myth, or a pigment of imaginations, whatever it is, a

towering dream though not expected, it became a reality.

The break year of 1999, surfaced the start of a new dawn for both Mr. Roselio

Arandia and Dr. Yolanda DC. Arandia: although, circumstances prevailed, hard knacks for

the spouses as they vehemently refuse to the last stand, the sparkling offer to buy a lot,

located at Airport Village. Why the refusal? The buying was no reason to call, nor contradict;

it did not come like an idea just to accept, nor to buy readily. For what after all one possessed

the property?

It has been destined, so to speak, that year 1999, a family friend Mrs. Isabel Valerio

made a pre-empted proposal to the spouses to put up a Pre-school learning center in the

vacant space usually used as garage for the family vehicles. The idea did not vanish to thin air

as Dr. Amaro Escario, a retired District Supervisor in the Division of Muntinlupa,

Department of Education, came to the scene, whom Dr. Arandia seek for advice in putting a

learning center for Pre-school.

To twist the event, the former idea was, transformed to brighter perspective that of putting up

a Pre-school and Elementary. The experienced Principal Dr. Escario insisted to put up a

Division of Paranaque
PARANAQUE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – DON BOSCO
school for Pre-schooler, Elementary and Secondary. The proposal was agreed by both sides

thus, Arandia Academy Inc. came into being.

The school, as agreed, stands to be recognized with the first stringers of 8 faculty and

56 students.

Nineteen Ninety-Nine, blossomed for what is Arandia College now, by virtue of the

certificate and recognition by the Security and Exchange Commission in November of 2011

and it never been so bad ever since it started. Elements of difficulties, hardships,

perseverance, determination and hard times were the ingredients of its success.

The succeeding years was history by luck and dedication. Mr. Roselio Arandia and

Dr. Yolanda DC. Arandia had acquired additional 7 lots adjacent to the original one the

succeeding years. In 2012, 2 more lots were acquired. The reservoir of assets of the

Arandians is no more a myth but real properties to behold.

In June of 2011, there was a dramatic increase in the student population which

triggered the modification of more classrooms to accommodate such. It is also in this year

that the school opened its doors to fifty scholars by virtue of the Certificate granted by

Department of Education through the Fund for Assistance to Private Education (FAPE) on

ESC/EVS School Certificate. Since then the school is granted a slot which is increasing in

number each year.

In June of 2013, Arandia College Taguig branch was born with an initial population

of Ninety Eight (98) pupils from Pre-School to Grade Six. 2013 is a remarkable year in

Arandia College. The complete Secondary Open High School/Home Study Program took

Republic of the Philippines

Division of Paranaque

effect. The permit was released on June 30, 2014 which was given in Quezon City

Philippines.

In response to the demand and the needs of its clientele, construction of new building fronting

the existing building was prompted, thus began in December of 2013 and continues up to the

present.

The following year, 2014, the Department of Education granted Arandia College

Taguig the permit to operate for the Pre-School, Primary and Secondary. Fifty percent to that

of the population the previous year motivated the administration, faculty and staff to give

more effort, looking forward for the same increase if not more than the proceeding years.

In April 2015, spouses Roselio Arandia and Dr. Yolanda DC. Arandia purchased another lot

adjacent to the existing Arandia College Taguig building. From this lot will rise more

classrooms, offices,Computer, Science, HELE, and TLE laboratories to accommodate the

increasing population. A multipurpose gym will soon be constructed.

In School Year 2015-2016, the ESC grantees totaled from Grade 7-10. This is the result of

the joint effort of the administration, faculty and staff. Hence, the school hired additional

licensed teachers. With the school population of more than 700, a total of 29 teachers were on

file.

All these developments and more, the administration created Academic Team Leaders as well

as Activity Team Leaders in Grade School and in High School. As a result, a smooth flow of

operation has been transparent.

Arandia College Inc. is now on its 20TH year of operation with a permit issued by the

Secondary level.

In pursuit of higher education, Arandia College was given the certificate to offer TESDA

courses/programs on May 31, 2012. Initially, the school offered Computer Hardware

Servicing NC II, Massage (Wellness) NCII and Massage Therapy NCII.

90 % of the faculty are now NC II certificate holders in response to the requirement set by

TESDA. More courses and programs are about to offer as planned by the President, Dr.

Yolanda DC. Arandia.

From the time of its birth, Arandia College is in pursuit for a wider horizon to serve the

LEARNINGS FROM WRITTEN RESEARCH COMPANY

Even though the covid-19 pandemic limit our experiences we had the best trainer

Sir Ian Cumba. He put a lot of efforts on teaching us such as making demo videos, providing

power points and platforms for us to study even more the topic. As an ICT student we

enjoyed the learnings we got from computer hardware to networking. Aside from skill related

learning, we have learned that skills are necessary but behavior and self-discipline inside the

workplace are way more important. On our career professionalism is where the conduct,

behavior and attitude of someone in a workplace are included. our productivity, professional

image, integrity, excellence, self-awareness and time management should be evident inside

our workplace all the time. we also have the characteristics of being a professional such as

appearance, demeanor, reliability, confidence, ethics and phone etiquette. We’re confident

that we have learned the most important thing in this immersion which is how we should

behave well while executing our knowledge inside the workplace.

CONCLUSION

There can be no doubt that this partnership has a big impact to the journey of the

students. It becomes an inspiration, motivation and confidence for the students to continue

pursuing the path they have taken, as this experience gives them a glimpse of their workplace

in the near future. This stepping stone will always be remembered by the students because the

family that was built during the working hours are strong enough to hold the most important

lessons they will bring in the industry. As this partnership will continue, it can assure that the

student’s dreams will continue as well.
