BANNER

Banner is a flag or other piece of cloth bearing a symbol, logo, slogan or other message. Banner
is one of the promotional media that is printed with Digital Print which is generally in the form
of Portrait or Vertical. Banners usually include symbols, logos, slogans, or other messages.
Banners are also often referred to as “Spanduk” and billboards / “ Baliho”.

The purpose of writing a banner is to publicize an idea, event or even a commercial product so
that it is known by many people as a medium for advertising, promotion, publication, making
friends and various other interests. Banners are usually designed prominently to attract attention.

BROCHURE

Brochure is a single set of paper to give information, to promote or to advertise


something. Brochures are advertising pieces mainly used to introduce a company or organization
and inform about products and/or services to a target audience.

The characteristics of a brochure:

1. Using headlines
2. consisting of short and simple sentences.
3. Using a font size that is easy to read.
4. Convincing readers to do something or buy a certain product.
5. Explaining the good side of a product.
6. Including the address or person who can be contacted clearly.

Definition of Pamphlets

Pamphlet is an unbound booklet (that is, without a hard cover or binding). It may consist of a
single sheet of paper that is printed on both sides and folded in half, in thirds, or in fourths
(called a leaflet). A pamphlet is writing that can be accompanied by a picture or not, without
covering or binding, which is printed on a sheet of paper on one side or both sides, then folded or
cut in half, third, or even a quarter, so that it looks smaller (can also be called a leaflet).

A pamphlet is a text that contains information consisting of writing, including pictures in it,
which are generally made on leaflets and are not bound or recorded.

In the pamphlet itself, the use of images is not required to be included, images are only used as
additions to attract more people’s interest with the pamphlet provided.

Pamphlets are generally used as promotional media for several companies to introduce their
products to the public. Many use it as a means of promotion because in addition to saving
expenses it is also easy to make, it only requires good and interesting language skills.

The purpose of the flyer itself varies from one to another, depending on what kind of pamphlet is
being made. For example a pamphlet about promotion, it has the aim of providing information
about products, in contrast to pamphlets about religion, which usually contain religious sciences.
Characteristics of Pamphlets

Pamphlets have several characteristics, namely as follows:

1. There are more detail about the information


2. Usually it made from a piece of paper
3. It shows the message about something completely.
4. Use short, concise and clear language
5. Persuasive in nature, meaning it contains an invitation to buy a product or comply with
something
6. Written clearly for easy reading
7. The things that are conveyed are usually new or updated things.
8. So, those are the characteristics of pamphlets, then we will look at the distribution of the
pamphlets itself.

Types of Pamphlets and Examples

1. Political pamphlet, contains political matters such as invitations to elect candidates for
leaders and others.
2. Educational pamphlets, containing information related to the world of education such as
seminars, academic competitions and others.
3. The Niaga pamphlet contains information about the products, accompanied by a sentence
asking to buy the product.
4. Activity pamphlets, containing various events or activities such as seminars, art
performances and others.
