Class, before we proceed to our next topic, I
have here different pictures I want you to
look closely at them. Notice the actions that
are shown in every picture.
What do you think the people are doing in Ma’am, the people in both pictures are cheering
these two pictures? Can we say that they are the players. Yes, they are basically the same.

What do you notice on these pictures? Do Ma’am, the pictures show scenes which are not
they show similar actions just like those related to each other. They don’t show similar
actions shown in the pictures which we have actions scenes.

1. Presentation:
Our topic for today is about synonyms and
antonyms. Are you familiar with these?
Maybe some of you are.
2. DISCUSSION:
Acquired – obtained, magnificent –
wonderful, attractive – gorgeous, trip –
journey, mistake – error
These words are examples of synonyms. The words are the same.
What can you say about synonyms?
Can you give me more examples of Sad – happy, speak – talk, fast – quick, start –
synonyms that you know? begin, true – correct
Please read the second one. b. Synonyms help to avoid repetition. You
can use synonyms of a word when you
have to write it twice in a sentence.

Okay class, we will have a game. I will group
you into two. For the first group, they must

giving and the second group they must find
the antonym. The first group who will be
finished and have all the answers correctly
will be the winner.
