Activity 2 Instruction: Recall your childhood days. Write a short biographical essay that compares your early childhood with that of Rizal.
Much like Rizal, I was born in a province with both of my loving
parents. I come from a large family, with four siblings, which is considered a lot in this generation. We are part of the middle class, neither rich nor poor and have a simple, happy, and contented life. I also have Chinese ancestry which is from my father’s side. Growing up, I was one of the intellectual children and praised for being smart. I was sent to a private catholic school and at school we were separated as the best students. I earned excellent marks in physics and chemistry graduating with high honors. I learned to play different types of instruments mainly guitar, bass, drums, and piano. I also like reading Novels, specifically graphic novels which is very engaging these days. Unlike Rizal, I have no talent in arts. I was not very good in drawing, painting and other creative works. But with the help of the computer, I became good at digital art and editing which became my hobby. I never had any tutors growing up and I only self-studied what I want to learn. There are a lot of similarities and differences between me and Rizal growing up and this factored a lot for us growing up and developing what we want to do in the future.
