Scene 1:

Narrator: Gerardo Luna, who was a salesman at a jewelry store, always dreamed of going out in
the forest. In his dream the forest was beautiful, but this dream of his was kept hidden and did
some profitable action instead, also they always warned him about the difficulties he might face
if he goes to the forest. But when a customer named Ambo came and told him stories about the
forest his fuel of desire to go to the forest was getting more intense. When he get home he told
his wife about it

Gerardo: It would be nice to go with him once (hopeful tone)

Wife: Yes, but I doubt if he would let you in on his business.

Gerardo: No. But just to have the experience, to be out. (apologetic tone, and explaining)

Wife: Out? (doubtful tone)

Gerardo: To be out of doors, in the hills. (in a matter of fact tone)

Wife: Why? That would be just courting discomfort and even sickness. And for nothing.

forest.

Sotera: Land? What are you going to do with land?

Gerardo: Never mind! (calm tone) I just want to leave you my keys tomorrow and ask you to
look after the house.

Sotera: I do not see any sense in it. How can you think of land when a pawn shop is so much
more profitable? Think! People coming to you to urge you to accept their business. There’s
Peregrina. She would make the right partner for you, the right wife. Why don’t you decide?

Gerardo: If I marry her, I’ll keep a pawnshop—no, if I keep a pawnshop I’ll marry her. (urgent
tone)

prayers. Scene 5:

Peregrina.

Action: Gerardo walks up the stairs and Peregrina follows him with a concern on her face,

—very important to me.

Scene 1

assigned activity by his/her Professor, which is to do a reflection paper about the story “A night
in the Hills” authored by Paz Marquez Benitez.
Action: Habang nagtatype yung bida. Ivovoice over niya yung sagot niya. Mabilis na pag
momonologue

Bida: There are times when we expect something unbelievably wonderful, but only to be
realized that does not really happen. His life experience gave a lesson about the reality of life that
sometimes we live according to our desire going beyond what is real. He never thought a doubt
on whether his dream really exists as beautiful and wonderful as it is.

Scene 2
* Uulitin yung paragraph but in actual

highs and lows in life
Light= hope

Brighter meaning mas bright dapat yung pag asa nya compare dun sa dati.

Stronger meaning dapat hindi basta basta mapupundi na lang dahil sa mga problema.

In short

Magsisimula na sya na maging better person.
