The CCB II System description CCBII 系统描述
The CCB II system is a microprocessor based electro-pneumatic brake control system. All logic, other
than the initiation of an emergency brake application, is of computer control.

The CCB II design incorporates the Echelon LonWorks network technology to interconnect each line
replaceable unit (LRU). These LRUs are in a constant state of communication with one another,
actively controlling the brake system functions.

Control of the Lead/Trail functions, Feed Valve Setting and Distributed Power is accomplished through
the Locomotive Cab Display Module (LCDM) menu, selected by the soft keys located on the operator’s
console. The CCB II system with LCDM also performs several diagnostic functions, Self Test,
Calibrations, and Fault and Event Flagging.
系统本务/重联模式选定,定压设定,分布式动力设置都是通过位于司机操纵台上的机车显示模块LCDM

The CCB II system provides a back-up pneumatic brake cylinder control in the event of computer
failure or loss of electrical supply. This function is provided by the manifoldmounted DB Triple Valve
and will allow the normal operation of the locomotive under several failure modes.

Display. This is a 10.4” screen which provides an operator
interface to the brake system.

PSJB- The Power Supply Junction Box is the central
location on the EPCU that all of the NODEs and the
IPM connect with. The PSJB has a power supply built in
it that supplies power to the CCB II system andseveral
connectors on the face that allow the EPCU, EBV, IPM,
and the RIM to Interface with each other.

The CCBII System has several Types of Backup Modes. CCBII系统有几种型式的备用模式
Pneumatic Backup:空气备用

Pneumatic Backup Mode is used whenever the system needs to control 16 pipe pressure
using Pneumatics instead of Electronics. This is done by routing the 16 pipe control
pressure from the DBTV LRU to the BC LRU via the 16TV line.
空气备用模式是指系统需要时采用风代替电子来控制16号管压力。通过16TV管线从DBTV
LRU向BC LRU 发送16号管控制压力,来实现空气备用。
ERCP / 16 CP 备用
In the event of a failure of ERCP, It’s function is performed by the 16 CP. The switch-over is
software controlled and the sequence is as follows.
如果ERCP失效,它的功能由16CP实现。由软件控制进行切换,顺序如下。
•When a failure is detected in the ERCP a penalty brake is applied to stop the train and
a fault message is displayed.
•ERCP中检测到失效时,实施惩罚制动,停车并显示故障信息
•The MV16 valve is de-energized to place the EAB in pneumatic back-up (DBTV) mode.
•MV16阀失电,将EAB设置为空气备用模式(DBTV)
•The ERBU mag valve is energized to allow the 16 CP to regulate ER pressure.

•The penalty brake is released, The fault is cleared and the train may proceed.
