OBJECTIVE
This standard covers the storage and handling of the materials listed above. The information herewithin is important and should
be followed for reasons of safety and quality. This standard applies to any P&G site using the materials listed above.
For safety specifics and detailed chemical behaviour of the material, the appropriate supplier’s MSDS (Material Safety Data
Sheet) should be referred to.
This standard serves to form the basis for more detailed plant specific standard operating procedures and manufacturing standards.
MATERIAL DESCRIPTION
Free flowing violet/grey coloured particle made up of primarily of bentonite and hueing dye. It is used in Dry Laundry Finished
Products as a Whiteness and Real Item Cleaning Benefit Technology (Fabric Shading Dye).

STORAGE& HANDLING
Unloading
As material is fine, incorrect unloading procedures could lead to fluidisation and dust generation. Appropriate design of day bin
should be used to minimise this along with a ventilation system.Use respiratory protection, gloves and safety goggleswhen
handling.
Material of Construction
Material Temperature
Shipment should be done in moisture protective big bags as specified by the individual user plants.
During first use of the material, regular inspection of screw feeders and moving parts should be made to ensure no material build
up.
Changes to this issue: Removed expiry date of RMPI and updated maximum storage as per supplier recommendation.
Vacuum or low pressure hot water should be used to clean the lines and prevent airbourne dust. Ensure equipment is thoroughly
dry before re-introducing the raw material.
Shelf-life
Raw material has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture provided it is kept in the original packaging and is stored in
dry conditions.
Stacking
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. According to the European Waste catalogue, Waste codes are not product
specific, but application specific. Waste codes should be assigned by the user, preferably in discussion with the waste disposal
authorities.
