ISSUES AND ACTIONS TAKEN

Lack of stable suppliers

The major issue that the business encountered was the lack of stability when

sourcing supplies. The group was only able to utilize e-commerce to source the

materials to be used for the business and this resulted to long lead times and then

eventually lost parcels that caused delays in the business’ operations.

Due to this, the group always made sure that they have back-up sellers from

both, Shopee and Lazada to deliver every material bought in case the first choice got

delayed. Furthermore, they have also decided to buy materials in bulk to reduce the

lead time. This was an effective strategy to ensure that the business will be able to

receive the materials needed for the operations on time. However, this strategy also had

its own drawbacks with it being more expensive for the group and not being able to

purchase materials on short notice. To make sure that this problem could be

addressed, the group has discussed and implemented a lean methodology of inventory

management.

Difficulty in reaching a wider audience online

The group struggles to establish an audience that can turn into potential clients, in

turn, they constantly and regularly created contents on the business’ Facebook and

Instagram pages that are engaging and thought-provoking to capture attention. The

group also strived to be active on online groups and on competitors' pages to connect
with their target audience and create a voice for the business that will be heard and will

create a lasting impact to those who see them.

However, all this will not be effective without first reviewing present marketing

strategies that can guarantee the increase of the business’ number of clients. The group

members ensured that each posted content is true and honest. Each of the members

played their part in disseminating the said contents on their personal social media

accounts and constantly utilizing the power of word of mouth to not only their families

but as well as to their long distant friends.
