Review
Direction: Write TRUE if the
statement is correct, and FALSE if it is
not.

made by vibrations.
____2. The rings of waves expand
indefinitely until the water becomes
calm or still again.
____3. The strong waves can
produced a loud sound.
____4. When the marble was dropped
into the water, it produced a soft

the lesson Direction: Write TRUE if the
statement is correct, and FALSE if it is
not.

____1. The volume of a sound

depends on the strength of the
vibrations.
____2. Soft sounds may not be loud
enough to be heard by human ear.
____3. Soft sounds may not be
pleasing to the ears.
____4. A lesser force makes a
loudness sound.
____5. Two types of volume are
loudness/softness sound.

C.Presenting (Students will listen audio with soft

examples/instances of the new and loud sound.)
lesson
What did you hear?
D. Discussing new concepts and Guide questions:
practicing new skills #1 1. What sounds of nature are
mentioned in the chant? Can you add
more sounds of the list?
2. What types of sounds are these?
Are they soft or loud sounds?
3. How are these sounds related to
one’s activity/feelings?
4. What can we infer with the loud
sound we hear, like the thunder?

E. Discussing new concepts and The softness and/or loudness of sound

practicing new skills #2 is called volume. If you control the
volume of energy source of the sound,
you can have varying degree of
loudness.
The sound that you hear may vary in
different ways. Some sounds may be
too load while others may be too soft.
The volume of a sound depends on the
strength of vibrations.
The application of a stronger force
causes a louder volume of a sound as
in the case of the rumbling thunder. A
lesser force makes a softer sound as in
the soft breeze of a fine day.
Other soft sounds may not be loud
enough to be heard by the human ear.
Loud sounds may not be pleasing to
the ears.

F. Developing Mastery WHAT’S MORE! (INDIVIDUAL

ACTIVITY)
I will present the 4 example of sound,
students identify what is the soft and
loudness of sounds.
G. Finding practical application What sound of nature that you feel
of concepts and skills in daily relaxed? Why?
living
H. Making generalization and The softness and/or loudness of sound
abstractions about the lesson is called_____. A stronger force causes
a____. A lesser force makes a _____as
in the soft breeze of a fine day.
