1) How does rat-tailed maggot survive in polluted water?
1) The rat-tailed maggot can live in badly-polluted water because it
can get oxygen from the air using its long breathing tube which sticks
out of the water surface.
2) Explain the colour change in Hydrangea plant, When pH changes?
Most Hydrangea which grows in acidic soil below pH 5.5 has blue
flowers while Hydrangea which grows in alkaline soil has pink
flowers.
3) Why is calcium and Iron-rich food being important in our diet?
3) Calcium is needed in our body to build strong bones and teeth, for
our muscle growth and blood clotting. Iron is needed to make
haemoglobin, the red pigment in red blood cells.
4) Study the leaves of Birds nest fern and Agave? Which plant lives in
desert Explain your answer.
4) The plant Agave lives in desert because they have thith lear thick
leaves which store more water and they have long roots.
