CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBLE (CSR) PROGRAMME IN KELANANG

BEACH, SELANGOR

I am writing on behalf of the Ecocentric Council of Kolej Mara Banting to seek your kind
consideration in providing for our Corporate Social Responsible (CSR) programme. Below are
pertinent details related to our programme:

1.0 INTRODUCTION

CBP or most known as Class Based Project is an activity requiring students to do a physical activity
within or outside the college following the requirement of the distance for the area according to their
classes or club. My clubmates decided to do a CSR activity at Kelanang Beach during the allocated
time for CBP on Friday, 10th February 2023.

2.0 BACKGROUND

The oceans produce more than half of the oxygen on Earth and are home to approximately 70% of life
on Earth. They also regulate our climate and weather patterns as well as absorb carbon dioxide. We
are slowly losing our oceans and all the marine creatures due to the staggering amount of litter we
dump in the oceans.Our picturesque Malaysian beaches aren’t as pristine as they once were, now
covered with plastic litter as a result of our own high plastic packaging consumption.

3.0 AIM

This CSR programme is held to do a coastal clean-up at Kelanang Beach. Since Malaysia is now one
of the biggest sources of ocean plastic pollution according to research by WWF, we will be collecting
marine debris along the beach to keep the beach clean while improving the coastal and ocean
ecosystem.

4.0 OBJECTIVES

This programme is aiming to:

4.1 Cleansing the beach area with collecting marine debris sling the coast
4.2 Giving awareness to society with the practice of recycling through the emphasis of the
importance of the environment.
4.3 Increase the responsibility of students to always take care of environment
4.4 To strengthen the teamwork of our classmates
5.0 TARGET

This CBP (CSR) program will be attended by 21 students of class A22J on 10th February 2023. The
advisor for this CBP (CSR) program is Ustaz Faizal.

7.0 TENTATIVE

2:30PM Students get ready to ride the bus that is provided by the college

3:00PM Estimated time of the students arrival at Pantai Kelanang Beach

3:10PM Starting to collect rubbish at the beach surrounding

4:30PM Dining and perform prayers

6:00PM Packing up and get ready to return to the college

8.0 CONCLUSION
Hopefully this corporate social responsibility (CSR) at Kelanang Beach on 10th February 2023 will
get approval by the management of KMB. This proposal for corporate social responsibility at
Kelanang Beach is for approval and consideration from the director of KMB.
