Nagdiriwang ng kaarawan ngayong araw si Marvin. Naroon nang lahat ang matatalik niyang
kaibigan maliban kay Carlo. Lubos silang nagtataka kung bakit wala pa si Carlo. Samantalang kapag sila
ay nagsasama-sama ay palagi itong nauuna sa kanilang tagpuan.

“Maaaring hindi pinahintulutan iyon ng kanyang nanay!” sabi ni Arnel. “Hindi ganoon!” wika
naman ni Cardo.

“Malamang na hindi nakabili ng regalo para kay Marvin. Alam ninyo, nagkagastos sila nang malaki
sa pagkakasakit ng kanyang ama.” Habang nagsasayawan at nagtatawanan ang magkakaibigan ay
bahagya silang natigilan ng marinig nila sa radio: “…pagbati sa kaarawan ni G. Marvin Dela Cruz mula
kay Carlo Montes na ngayon ay nagpapagaling sa ASCOM Ospital.
