HMENT Introduction:

As part of our School Improvement Plan, the Supreme Student

Government (SSG) conducted a School Watching and Hazard Mapping
activity on July 18, 2022, in coordination with our Teacher-In-Charge,
Sir Lee S. Choi, and our SSG Adviser, Ms. Ella F. Yoon. The activity
aimed to identify potential hazards and improve the safety and
security of our school environment.

Methodology:

The SSG officers were divided into groups and assigned to different areas of the school to observe and
evaluate any potential hazards. The groups were provided with checklists and forms to document their
observations and recommendations. The data collected were then collated and analyzed to create a hazard
map of the school.

Results:

The School Watching and Hazard Mapping activity identified various potential hazards in different
areas of the school. These included unstable structures, unsecured electrical wires, uneven flooring, and
insufficient lighting. The SSG officers also identified areas that need improvement, such as emergency exits,
signage, and fire prevention equipment.

Recommendations:

Based on the results of the School Watching and Hazard Mapping activity, the SSG officers made the
following recommendations:

1. Repair or replace unstable structures, such as broken chairs and tables.

2. Secure all electrical wires to avoid accidents.
3. Fix uneven flooring to prevent slips and falls.
4. Install additional lighting in poorly lit areas of the school.
5. Improve emergency exits by providing clear signage and ensuring they are always accessible.
6. Place clear signage for the location of fire prevention equipment.

Conclusion:

The School Watching and Hazard Mapping activity was a success, and the SSG officers provided
valuable recommendations to improve the safety and security of our school environment. The data gathered
will be used to develop a comprehensive School Improvement Plan to address the identified hazards and
improve our school's overall safety and security.
