The table reveals the effects of insufficient staffing causes workload and affect nurses
performance. Out of 17 respondents they are answered YES, statement 1 “ staffing is the reason of
overload”, Statement 2 “ Workload affects the time of nurses to attend to their personal needs” and
Statement 3 “ Willing to help other nurse when needed while you’re in-charge “ has the highest
percentage of 100%. The statement 4 “Insufficient staffing leads to higher costs of care problems” the
total percentage of 82%. The statement 6 “Insufficient staffing leads to error and harm to patients” has
the total percentage of 47% who answered YES. Insufficient staffing leads to higher costs of care
problems has the total percentage of 41% of those who answered YES. High workload makes it more
difficult to nurses to follow rules and Find inadequacy of time in doing your own task has the same total
percentage of 35% who answered YES. Furthermore, the highest percentage of those who answered
NO is Insufficient staffing can increase nurses’ failure having the percentage of 71%.
