Instructions: Present three (3) cases/stories featuring moral agents at different stages. Identify the stages
of the agents in each of the three (3) cases and justify your answer.

 The Middle-Aged Person: Tom is a successful professional at the age of 50, but he lacks
fulfillment in his personal life. He decides to take a break from his job to travel and pursue his
interests. He encounters people from all cultures and backgrounds when traveling, and he gains
insight into their thoughts and experiences. He returns to work with a fresh appreciation for
diversity and a determination to make improvements at his place of employment. Tom discovers
that being a moral agent entails having an open mind and being eager to pick up new information
from others, even if it contradicts your own beliefs.

 The Adult: Maria, a 35-year-old employee at a major firm, is a woman. She eventually learns
that her business has been indulging in unethical business activities that are harmful to the
environment and exploit workers. Maria chooses to come out and inform the authorities about the
unlawful conduct at her workplace despite the risk to her career. Even if it means giving up her
own work and even jeopardizing her family's financial security, she believes it's the right thing to
do. Maria serves as an example of how having courage and a willingness to face risks to uphold
morality is not always easy.

 The Senior Adult: Mary, a 70-year-old volunteer at a nearby soup kitchen, is the individual. One
day, she discovers that a frequent customer, a young man, is battling addiction. Mary spends the
time to speak with him and give him information for receiving assistance rather than passing
judgment on him. She also exhorts the other volunteers to show him respect and care. Mary
discovers that being a decent person entails being tolerant and kind to others, especially under
trying circumstances.
