Calaca Senior High School’s C-Senior Resilients placed 2nd at Civil Defense PH in celebration of the

National Disaster Resilience Month

In celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month, Calaca Senior High School joined the
National Resilience Video Contest of Civil Defense PH with the theme “Sambayanang Pilipino,
Nagkakaisa tungo sa Katatagan at Maunlad na Kinabukasan” which highlights the unifying efforts of all
sectors and communities toward sustainable development and placed 2 nd!

July 22, 2022─All of the entry in National Resilience Video Contest including the entry of C-Senior
Resilients was uploaded to Facebook in search for the most reacted video award. With all the help of
students, teachers and other faculty members from the Calaca Senior High School who reacts, shares,
and mentions their Facebook friends, within 72 hours, the entry of the school got the most reacted
video award with 2.3k reactions and 7.2k views which standouts among the other entries around the
country. Among all the twenty-nine entries national, C-Senior Resilients placed 2nd which the school is
proud, given that there’s only short period of time to prepare and accomplish the entry of Calaca Senior
High School to the said contest. This shows the effort, hard work and commitment of all the people
behind the entry of our school in every contest.

With the help of this kind of celebration, this will help the people around the country to be aware and
updated on what is the importance of National Disaster Resilience Month. Executive Order No. 29
signed by former President Rodrigo Duterte on June 28, 2017, mandates the observance of NDRM
"Throughout the country through the conduct of activities relative to the building of disaster resilience
covering the four thematic areas."
