3. Abstraction

The four different kinds of sentences


in English; declarative, interrogative,
imperative, and exclamatory it allows
us to express ourselves clearly. Using
a variety of sentences in your writing
will add interest and help you get
your ideas across effectively.

Types of sentences in English

•Declarative sentence (a sentence


that makes a statement)
•Interrogative sentence (sentences
that ask a question, typically to
request information)
•Imperative sentence (a sentence that
gives the reader an instruction,
makes a request, or issues a
command)
•Exclamative sentence (a statement
