Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in English 7

I. Objectives
At the end of the discussion, students are expected to:
● obtain the knowledge on the proper function of adverbial conjunctions;
● appreciate the importance of adverbial conjunctions in creating academic or
professional paper; and
● be able to practice its usage when creating essays, simple sentences, journals, and
other written materials.

III. Procedure
A. Motivation
Direction: The class will listen to a song while passing a ball to their seatmates.
Whoever is holding the ball when the song stops will have to pick a small paper
from a jar where there are adverbial conjunctions written to each. The chosen
student will have to create a simple sentence using the adverbial conjunction
he/she had randomly picked.

ADVERBIAL CONJUNCTION

Adverbial conjunctions are a particular kind of sentence adverb used to convey a


specific relationship between the first phrase and the second clause that follows.
They are a member of the word group known as connectors. The semicolon (;)
will typically be used to divide the two clauses.
