The proceedings

Warm-up
1. Welcome
2. Introduction to the topic of the lesson - the teacher hangs cards with the signs "+" and
"-" and the number 100 on the board, the task of the students is to guess the topic of the
classes based on them.
3. Reminder of terms: component, sum, difference.
4. Writing the topic of the lesson into a notebook.
5. Memory calculus - Addition and subtraction within 100 - Match in pairs (wordwall.net)
6. Dividing the class into teams, choosing leaders.
Main part

1. Game: Match the score to the operation

Each team receives 4 score cards. There are activity cards on the table. The task of the
teams is to match the results and place them on the appropriate activity. Check the
completion of the task by turning over the activity cards.

2. The Sun – a game

The teacher hangs a circle with the number 56 on the blackboard. Each team, in a given
time, writes on the cards actions for addition, the result of which will be the number
written on the circle. Then the students pin the cards with the activities as rays to the sun.
We repeat the task by writing operations for subtraction.

3. Relaxation exercise
Pupils write any addition or subtraction within 100 on the team-colored cards and then
make paper balls from the cards. At the teacher's signal, the children arrange a snowball
fight - they throw paper balls, at the next signal, the teams stop throwing snowballs and
look for their snowball, write down their action in a notebook and make a calculation. The
teacher checks the correctness of the results.

4. Dice game - Add to 100 and subtract from 100

Students in the team, selected by the leader, roll two dice, form a two-digit number from
the dice thrown and decide whether they will perform the addition operation (they will add
to 100) or subtract their number from 100. The teacher completes the activities on the
board, the students will copy them into the notebook.

5. Calculating the cost of purchases and calculating the change.

The teacher displays a picture on the board showing the items of clothing with their
prices. Pupils receive cards with selected clothes - their task is to calculate how much the
person with the name given on the card has to pay for their purchases. Then the students
calculate how much change this person will have if he pays for the purchases with a PLN
100 bill. Checking the results in the team, pasting sheets into notebooks.

6. Mathematical coding
The teacher displays a number code on the board. Pupils receive cards with coded
actions. The task of the students is to calculate and record the result of the coded
operation. Checking the calculations in the team.

Warning!

There are 6 tasks planned, their completion will depend on the pace at which the class
team will work.

Summary
1. Homework consolidating addition and subtraction within 100 - explanation of the
task.
2. Summary of classes - smileys - the teacher hangs three smiley faces on the
door of the classroom: happy, indifferent and sad, and then asks the students to
stick a note to the face corresponding to the degree of their satisfaction with the
classes.
