What, all of us learned about through this course, is that it introduced us to our real self. We came to
know about our strengths and weaknesses. As the main aim of this program was to build confidence and
make students capable enough to deal with public speaking. The qualities like leadership and
followership were developed in the students which are useful in the entire life of an individual. Each one
of us is either leader or follower at every stage of life.

The journey of building confidence started in the very first week of the class and its results were seen in
the assignment of “my personal learning journey” wherein everyone confidently delivered their
leadership or followership story. All the strategies that we learned throughout the course will be put into
practise through this assignment and give us experience to work as a team.

Team Member Profiles:

 My name is Jasmandeep, I am 20 years old person and during the entire course of my life I got
an opportunity to learn about various things. Each one of us also came to know about their
personality through MBTI (a test to know what kind of personality one has and the way one
interacts and communicates with others). Through this test I came to know that I have Architect
profile, according to which I am introvert by nature and loves to be alone, I am more imaginative
and open minded. I am curious to know more and more things. I focus more on objectivity and
rationality that means more logic and less and emotions. I also came to know that individuals
like me are more decisive and highly organized. The three points that I will focus on during this
assignment which were mentioned in myself insight were I will start building my team work
skills, I will continue to improve my public speaking skills and stop stressing over small things.

 Hello, I'm Deeksha Sharma. I am 18 years old and am most likely the youngest member of the
team. I can say that some of my strengths, which I discovered while doing self-insights for our
personal journey assignment, include being cooperative in a team setting as well as displaying
accommodating and compromising conflict handling styles. I would also add that I am good at
doing research. As of my weakness I am not skilled at editing presentations, but that’s an area
that I am trying to improve every day. According to my IMBT-I personality I am a INTP-T, my
attributes are analytical, open-minded and curious. Through this assignment I want to focus on
building healthy relationships with my team members, improve my public speaking skills and
give out the best results at the end. Further I want to continue following the set of rules which
are: Start improving my leadership skills and make myself a desirable teammate, Stop getting
demotivated every time I face a difficult challenge and finally, I will continue to actively
participate in this group project as well as the others in the future.

 Hi, I am Sukhmanpreet Sidhu. I am 20 now. I got a chance in class to know my personality type
through the personality test or self-insight. I'm glad to have this character type, protagonist
(ENFJ). It describes that I'm a Hero. As the hero of my own story, I'm the focal person and main
impetus of my life's account I am the protagonist and oversee my own growth and development.
I look for challenges and opportunities that push me to be my best self. It helps me to lead the
team in proper way. It is my responsibility as the protagonist to navigate these relationships,
utilizing them to advance my own objectives while also respecting those of others. In the end,
being the main character in my own story entails a great deal of responsibility as well as an
incredible chance to shape my own destiny and design a life that is both satisfying and
important. I want to maintain my positive attitude as a leader or follower and raise my
confidence level. However, I am trying to stop diverting my mind from work. At last, I started
being more cooperative with team members. This will help me to develop my skills for being a
better leader and follower in future.

Purpose of this contract:

The objective of this contract is to write down a set of guidelines that our team will follow to avoid any
disparities and work through conflict that we may face in the course if this assignment. Our team will aim
for the best grade and maximum level of satisfaction by the end of this assignment. We want to avoid
any type of distress in regarding to this presentation and learn valuable lessons through this experience.

Ground rules:

Communication- The team is constantly in contact with each other through common whatsapp group
and we are also connected through emails and contact method provided under the team section on the
blackboard. Further we all have the same in-person class schedule for the college so we can discuss
some topics together in-person. As we are all working, we didn’t set any obligation to come to the
college to just work on the project, we are all in agreement that if the member is not free to come to
class, they can keep in touch with others via the common group or contact numbers.

Team roles:

We have not decided on anyone as a team leader, but we agree on dividing the work between us
according to the individuals’ strengths and weaknesses. Each member is accountable for their own set of
tasks that they are assigned and the importance of completing the work on time is clear to everybody.

The work is divided amongst the team members as follows:

o Jasmandeep- In-charge of presentation in the class


o Deeksha and Sukhmanpreet- Researching on the leader that we selected.
o Mayank- In charge of compiling all the information.
o Akash- Editing the presentation.

Commitment, motivation and accountability:


The main goal that all drives us to perform our best at this assignment is to achieve the best grades and
come out victorious while learning various lessons and concepts in regard to the course and the leader
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. All the members of the team really admire this leader and we feel proud to
introduce our class to his achievement and influence. We all agree that we commit to this project
completely to make a good impression on our team members, classmates, and most importantly our
professor. To motivate each other we all will keep the environment in the team very peaceful and
provide constructive criticism and praise each other for the task accomplished. Instead of treating this
project like any other assignment we will see it as an opportunity to practice and present our skills.

In case anyone faces a genuine problem related to health, work, or any personal issue, we have decided
on helping each other out and minimizing the load of work on the person. As we have already divided
the work equally and kept the time to get it done more than enough, we are sure it will work out in the
end.

As we learned that all groups face conflicts which are sometimes not healthy, the team member
Deeksha will be the mediator in that case because according to her self-insight she displays
Accommodating and Compromising conflict handling styles, which will help resolve the issue in peaceful
way. Further as each member is responsible for certain sets of tasks, it will reduce the probability of
anyone social loafing and being ignorant about the project.

To make a perfect team work we all will follow the rules and guidelines that we have set in the forming
stage of this group and make sure that everyone understands their role and the purpose of this
assignment, we all will be accommodating to each others idea and opinion. If or when we enter the
storming stage all members will try to adjust and resolve the issue in peaceful way, further we will
establish a stable form of communication to avoid conflicts as we are presenting this assignment in the
class we all need to be on the same page and in sync with each other. in the norming stage we all will be
more familiar with each others method of working and focus building our trust on each other, which will
be benificial while practising and competing the assignment. To keep the morale high throughout the
journey we will be supportive and focus on building unity and sense of cohesion.

Finally while adjourning the team hopefully our hardwork will pay off, we get good results and learn
something valuable from various team building exercises that we practised.
