The Stand/Perspective

After watching the video we’ve learned and get a new knowledge how globalization
affects all of us and the world. Our group agrees to the context that was given by the speaker.
Throughout history, there have been many watershed events that have both positively and
negatively impacted society. Change is inevitable and progress is impossible without it. The
world is constantly changing with its new ideas, resources, and products, demanding and
expecting even faster responses. Governments have evolved, technology is rapidly becoming
more advanced, people are changing the way they think, and the list goes on. Although there
have been many times when change has had a positive impact on society, this does not go to say
that all change is good.

Globalization is how people, governments, and companies of different nations interact

and integrate. This process has brought many positive effects such as changes in education,
culture, trade, and technology but these same changes have been the reason for many of the
world’s problems today. One negative change that globalization brings is its destabilizing effects
on families. Today’s families live in a world that is complex, interconnected, and continuously
evolving. Affecting the economies of every nation on earth, globalization is a topic that’s on
everyone’s been talking about. It’s been around for millennia. Merchants of old traveled the
globe to find commodities in developing countries that during those times were rare, like gold,
spices, and salt, that they could sell for high prices. The Industrial Revolution of the 19th century
brought about developments in transportation and communication, increasing free trade across
borders and opening or removing borders in many places, giving poor countries fair access to the
global marketplace. On the other hand, there is still a positive impact of globalization on the
environment; there is an advance on the use of assets and the awareness of environment
degradation.

Due to problems dealing with globalization, a lot of analysis is getting agitated out on
advanced greener technology, which will replace accepted ones that harm the environment.
Globalization also has helped in the improvement of assets to save the environment by the
promotion of growth through advance of incomes and education. This outcome leads to a more
effective market and it creates a balance between producers and consumers, which is why the
equality of goods and services often goes up as a result and prices tend to go down. That is why
globalization also led to the interconnection of economies that strengthens some nations while
undermining other economies.
