■ Operation

• SSB is pushed. (Brake SW ON & shift lever position P)

• Interior antenna is driven by SMK unit.
• LF signal transmitted to SMK.
• SMK receive the data from SMK and authenticate it.
• ESCL Unlock
• Drive start relay.

■ Pre-Authentication

• Purpose : For starting engine quickly SMK unit searches the smart key and authentication is valid for 30 sec.
• Condition
: Every below case at the initial IG OFF state
- Door gets opened and closed,
- The brake or clutch pedal is pressed.
- key position changes from off to not-off.

■ Operation
1. Smart key is located inside the vehicle. (IG OFF)
2. Press door lock knob or central door lock button while any door is open.
3. All of doors get unlocked by BCM control.
• Purpose: Prevent door lock while smart key is inside.
※ In only EU area, when door is open, door locking is prevented by BCM.
(Regardless of the location of smart key.) And door lock knob is not applied.

- Is the Smart Key within the vehicle?

- Is the Smart Key the correct one that was learnt for the vehicle?

- Is limp home ignition possible?

Does not power up from OFF mode

1 - Does the Smart Key LED blinks when you use the GDS and inspect interior
the Start button is pressed
- If the Smart Key does not blink not even once, then check the interior antenna
connectors

- Is a none-learnt Smart Key inserted in the Smart Key Holder?

- Is the Smart Key Connector connected?

2 Passive lock or unlock is not engaged - Inspect the connector of the door handle
when the door handle button is - Inspect door antenna (by using GDS)

- Check to see if the Transmission Lever is in P/N Mode

OFF, ACC, IGN mode change
works but the engine does not start. - Hold down the ACC button (move to IGN when you press the button) and
