“2022 SCIENCE NATIONAL SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY WEEK

ACTIVITIES “

I. SCI-ART “POSTER MAKING CONTEST”

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS:

1. Each class shall have 1 participant only.


2. The poster shall be an original creation by the participant.
3. Participants shall use ¼ illustration board and any coloring material (e.g. oil pastel,
markers, ink, acrylic and water color) to be provided by the participant.
4. Participants are given a maximum of 2 hours to finish the poster.
5. The theme/topic will be given during the schedule of the poster-making contest.
6. The school multi-purpose room will serve as the venue for the activity.
7. The criteria of judging are as follows:
Relevance to the theme---------------------------------------30%
Creativity and presentation---------------------------------30%
Originality------------------------------------------------------20%
Artistic Composition------------------------------------------20%
TOTAL----------------------------------------------------------100%

II. SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS:

1. Each class shall have 1 participant only.


2. The participant shall use oslo paper and any coloring material (e.g. oil pastel,
markers, ink, acrylic and water color) to be provided by the participant.
3. The theme /topic for the slogan making contest shall focus on the Role of Technology
among the Young Generations like them.
4. The school multi-purpose room will serve as the venue for the activity.
5. The criteria of judging are as follows:
Relevance to the theme----------------------------------------40%
Creativity and presentation----------------------------------25%
Overall presentation------------------------------------------25%
Neatness and Workmanship---------------------------------10%
TOTAL----------------------------------------------------------100%

III. LANTERN MAKING

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS:


1. The contest is open to all JHS classes.
2. Each class shall have one entry only. One entry shall compose of 8 learners and the
adviser as the coach.
3. Each entry shall use recyclable materials.
4. The lantern size shall be at least 40 cm on one side either in length, breadth or height.
5. Entries shall be submitted before November 25, 2022.
6. The lanterns must be displayed inside the multi-purpose room.
7. The criteria of judging are as follows:
Creativity--------------------------------------------------------40%
Use of reused or recycled materials--------------------------40%
Overall Presentation-------------------------------------------20%
TOTAL-----------------------------------------------------------100%
