# 13.22
പുരുഷഃ പകൃതിേ ാ ഹി ഭു ്േത പകൃതിജാൻ ഗുണാൻ
കാരണം ഗുണസങ്േഗാഽസ സദ് അസേദ ാനിജ സു.

ഭൗതിക പകൃതിയിൽ ജീവാ ാവ്, പകൃതിയുെട തിഗുണ ൾ

അനുഭവി ുെകാ ു ജീവിതരീതി ൈകെ ാ ു ു.
ഭൗതിക പകൃതിയുമായു സ ർ ാലാണിത്. അ െന, ന തും
ചീ യുമായ നാനാേയാനികളിൽ ജീവൻ പിറവിെയടു ു ു.

puruṣaḥ prakṛti-stho hi bhuṅkte prakṛti-jān guṇān

kāraṇaṁ guṇa-saṅgo ’sya sad-asad-yoni-janmasu

The living entity in material nature thus follows the ways of life,
enjoying the three modes of nature. This is due to his
association with that material nature. Thus he meets with good
and evil among various species.

#14.4
സർവേയാനിഷു കൗേ യ മൂർതയഃ സംഭവ ി യാഃ
താസാം ബ മഹേദ ാനിരഹം ബീജ പദഃ പിതാ

േഹ കു ീപു താ! നാനാരൂേപണയു ജീവിവർ ൾെ ാം ഈ

ഭൗതിക പകൃതിയിൽ ജ െമടു ാനവസരം നൽകിയത് ഞാനാണ്.
അവയുെട ബീജ പദാതാവായ പിതാവും ഞാൻ തെ െയ ് അറിയണം.

sarva-yoniṣu kaunteya mūrtayaḥ sambhavanti yāḥ

tāsāṁ brahma mahad yonir ahaṁ bīja-pradaḥ pitā

It should be understood that all species of life, O son of Kuntī,

are made possible by birth in this material nature, and that I am
the seed-giving father.
#14.26
മാംചേയാ ഽവ ഭിചാേരണ ഭ ിേയാേഗന േസവേത
സ ഗുണാൻ സമതീൈത താൻ ബ ഭൂയായ കൽപേത

ഏതു പരിതഃ ിതിയിലും പിഴയ് ാെത ഭ ിപൂർ ം ഭഗവത്

േസവന ിേലർെ ടു വർ ് േവഗ ിൽ ഭൗതിക പകൃതിയുെട
തിഗുണ െള അതികമി ബ പദ ിെല ാം.

māṁ ca yo ’vyabhicāreṇa bhakti-yogena sevate

sa guṇān samatītyaitān brahma-bhūyāya kalpate

One who engages in full devotional service, unfailing in all

circumstances, at once transcends the modes of material nature
and thus comes to the level of Brahman.

#15.1
ശീ ഭഗവാനുവാച
ഉയർധ മൂലമധഃ ശാഖമശ ം പഠഹരവ യം
ച ാമസി യസ പർണാനി യസ്തം േവദ സ േവദ വിത്

പരമദിേവ ാ മപുരുഷൻ പറ ു : േവരുകൾ േമൽേ ാ ും, ശാഖകൾ

കീഴ്ചേ ാ ുമായി ് അ യമാെയാരു അശ മു ്. അതിെ
ഇലകളാണ് േവദമ ൾ, ഈ വൃ െമെ ് അറിയു വനേ ത
േവദ ൻ.

śrī-bhagavān uvāca
ūrdhva-mūlam adhaḥ-śākham aśvatthaṁ prāhur avyayam
chandāṁsi yasya parṇāni yas taṁ veda sa veda-vit

The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: It is said that there is

an imperishable banyan tree that has its roots upward and its
branches down and whose leaves are the Vedic hymns. One
who knows this tree is the knower of the Vedas.
#15.15
സർവസ ചാഹം ഹൃദി സ ിവിഷ്േടാ
മ ഃ സ്മൃതിർ ാനമേപാഹനം ച
േവൈദ സർൈവരഹേമവ േവേദ ാ
േവദാ കൃദ് േവദവിേദവ ചാഹം.

സർ ജീവികളുേടയും ഹൃദയ ിൽ ഞാൻ വാഴു ു. സ്മര ണയും

ാനവും മറവിയും എ ിൽ നി ാണുളവാകു ത്. എ ാ
േവദ ളിലൂേടയും അറിേയ ത് എെ െ . േവദാ മു ാ ിയതും
േവദ െള അറിയു തും ഞാനാണ്.

sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo

mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca
vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham
I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come
remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I
am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am
the knower of the Vedas.

#16.23

യഃ ശാസ് തവിധിമു ൃജ വർതേത കാമകാരതഃ

ന സ സി ിമവാപ്േനാതി ന സുഖം ന പരാം ഗതിം.

ശാസ് തവിഹിത ളായ വചന െള കണ ിെലടു ാെത

ത ിഷ്ടംേപാെല പവർ ി ു വർ ് പരിപൂർ തേയാ
പരമല പാപ്തിേയാ സുഖംേപാലുേമാ േനടാനാവി .

yaḥ śāstra-vidhim utsṛjya vartate kāma-kārataḥ

na sa siddhim avāpnoti na sukhaṁ na parāṁ gatim

He who discards scriptural injunctions and acts according to his

own whims attains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the
supreme destination.
#18.54
ബ ഭൂതഃ പസനാ ാ ന േശാചതി ന കാം തി
സമഃ സർേവഷു ഭൂേതഷു മദ്ഭ ിം ലഭേത പരാം

ഈ ആ ാ ികാവ യിൽ എ ിേ ർ വൻ
പര ബ സാ ാത്കാരം സി ി ് പരമാന മനുഭവി ു ു. അയാൾ ്
ദുഃഖമി ; ആ ഗഹ ളി . സർ ഭൂത ളിലും സമഭാവനയാണ്
അയാൾ ു ത്. ഈ നിലയിൽ അയാൾ വിശു ഭ ിേയാെട എെ
േസവന ിൽ മുഴുകു ു.

brahma-bhūtaḥ prasannātmā na śocati na kāṅkṣati

samaḥ sarveṣu bhūteṣu mad-bhaktiṁ labhate parām

One who is thus transcendentally situated at once realizes the

Supreme Brahman and becomes fully joyful. He never laments
or desires to have anything. He is equally disposed toward every
living entity. In that state he attains pure devotional service unto
Me.

#18.55

ഭ ാ മാമഭിജാനാതി യാവാൻ യ ാസ്മി ത തഃ

തേതാ മാം ത േതാ ാത ാ വിശേത തദന രം
ഭ ിയുതേസവനംെകാ ് മാ തേമ, ഞാനാണ് പരമദിേവ ാ
മപുരുഷെന സത ം അറിയാൻ കഴിയൂ. ആ ഭ ിെകാ ുതെ
എെ ുറി ് പൂർ േബാധം േനടുേ ാൾ അയാൾ ്
ൈദവസാ മാജ ിൽ പേവശി ാൻ കഴിയും.

bhaktyā mām abhijānāti yāvān yaś cāsmi tattvataḥ

tato māṁ tattvato jñātvā viśate tad-anantaram
One can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of
Godhead, only by devotional service. And when one is in full
consciousness of Me by such devotion, he can enter into the
kingdom of God.
#18.57
േചതസാ സർവകർമാണി മയി സംന സ മത്പരഃ
ബു ിേയാഗമുപാ ശിത മ ി ഃ സതതം ഭവ

സകല കർ ളിലും എെ ആ ശയി ൂ, എ ി ് എെ

സംര ണ ിൽ സദാ പവർ ി ുക. അ െനയു ഭ ിയുത
േസവന ിൽ, എെ ിയു പൂർ മായ േബാധവും ഉ ായിരി ണം.

cetasā sarva-karmāṇi
mayi sannyasya mat-paraḥ
buddhi-yogam upāśritya
mac-cittaḥ satataṁ bhava
In all activities just depend upon Me and work always under My
protection. In such devotional service, be fully conscious of Me.

#18.61
ഈശ രഃ സർവഭൂതാനാം ഹൃേ േശ ഽർജുന തിഷ്ഠതി
ഭാമയൻ സർവഭൂതാനി യ ാരൂഢാനി മായയാ

അർജുനാ, പരമപുരുഷൻ എ ാവരുേടയും ഹൃദയ ിൽ കുടി

െകാ ുകയും ഭൗതികശ ിയാൽ നിർമിതമായ യ ിൽ എ
േപാെല ിതി െച ു ജീവാ ാ ളുെട ഭമണെ നിയ ി ു
കയും െച ു ു.

īśvaraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ hṛd-deśe ’rjuna tiṣṭhati

bhrāmayan sarva-bhūtāni yantrārūḍhāni māyayā

The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone’s heart, O Arjuna, and

is directing the wanderings of all living entities, who are seated
as on a machine, made of the material energy.
#18.65
മ നാ ഭവ മദ്ഭേ ാ മദ ാജീ മാം നമസ്കുരു
മാേമൈവഷ സി സത ം േത പതിജാേന പിേയാഽസി േമ

എേ ാഴും എെ ഓർ ുക, എെ ഭ നാവുക, എെ

ആരാധി ുകയും പണമി ുകയുംെച ുക; ഇ െന െചയ്തുേപാ ാൽ
നി യമായും നിനെ െ പാപി ാം . ഞാൻ തീർ ു പറയു ു,
എെ ാൽ എനി ് പിയെ വനാണ് നീ.

man-manā bhava mad-bhakto

mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru
mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te
pratijāne priyo ’si me

Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me and offer

your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I
promise you this because you are My very dear friend.

#18.66
സർവധർമാൻ പരിത ജ മാേമകം ശരണം വജ
അഹം ത ാം സർവപാേപേഭ ാ േമാ യിഷ ാമി മാ ശുചഃ

സർ ധർ േളയും ത ജി ് എ ിൽ ശരണം േതടുക, ഞാൻ നിെ

സകല പാപ പതികരണ ളിൽ നി ും േമാചി ി ാം, ഭയെ േട .

sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja

ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ

Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I

shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.
