Greetings of peace and benevolence!

Every year on November 17th, the Philippines celebrates National Students Day. This year’s
celebration with the theme, “Ikaw… Ako… Tayo: Bahagi rig Proseso at Boses ng Pagbabago,” intends to;

Give Filipino learners the opportunity to connect with others, share their common goals and
sentiments, and take part in activities that highlight their causes for volunteerism and capabilities in
various fields of expertise.

To mark the occasion, the Supreme Student Government of Trinidad V. Canja - Sta. Teresa
National High School would like to host a Poster Making and Photo Essay Contest as activities on
November 17, 2022, This will provide a learner-centered platform for engaging and mobilizing learners
from diverse backgrounds to participate in various carefully designed interactive and participatory
activities that promote upskilling, a strong sense of social responsibility, acceptance, and respect for
differences.

Here are the rules or mechanics for For the Photo Essay and Poster Making contests. We are
hoping for your positive response on this matter.

Mechanics: Poster Making Contest

1. The contest is open to all bonafide students of TVC-STNHS of the school year 2022-2023.
2. This is a solo event. Each participant will be only allowed to submit one (1) entry.
3. The contest will take place on November 16, 2022 at our School Gym.
4. Due to our “No Interruption of Classes Policy”, the contest will start on 12:00 NN to 1:00 PM and will
continue on 4:00 PM until 4:30 PM. With an overall time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Participants must
eat their lunch beforehand and are expected to be on time.
5. The poster must illustrate an artistic interpretation of the theme: “ - ”.
6. Participants will provide their own art materials.
• ⅛ Illustration Board
• Pens (e.g. Pencils, Markers, Pens)
• Eraser
• Coloring Materials (e.g. Crayons, Oil Pastel, Acrylic, Watercolor)
• Measuring Tools (e.g. Ruler, Compass)
7. The participant’s full name, grade level, and section including the title of their own artwork must be
written and attached at the back of their entry.
8. By submitting an entry, the contestant hereby grants full consent for the Supreme Student Government
of TVC-STNHS to use the poster in promotional videos, materials, and other purposes.
9. All artworks must be done on the spot. It must be original and owned by the participant. Any artwork
that is found to have been plagiarized from any platform on the internet will be disqualified.
10. Entries must be free of all forms of violence, profanity, intolerance based on religion or culture, racism,
gender discrimination, and/or illegal activities.
11. Participants violating the rules and mechanics of this contest shall be automatically disqualified.
12. The winning entries will be determined using the following Criteria:
• Relevance to the Theme - 30%
• Originality - 25%
• Creativity - 20%
• Visual Impact - 15%
• Message and Content - 10%

Mechanics: Photo Essay Contest

MECHANICS and CRITERIA

1. Contest is open to all students of TVC-STNHS
2.Contestants who joined other NSDA (National Students Day Activities) are not allowed to join this
activity.
3.The photo must be theme-based.
4.The photo may be taken by any mobile devices with activated date and time settings appearing on the
photo.
5.Photo essay should have a longer minimum of words explanation.
6.Winner will be chosen base on the following criteria.
