Week 1
Apo Jose Catholic Educational Systems Foundation Inc.
During our Work Immersion in Rural Health Unit, I really understand the deep meaning,
why we need it in every town. Dra. Prado said that they are more in prevention than in cure.
Before we start the first day of work immersion, I felt the excitement in me and I want to learn
more about it. In every Patient, they need to blotter to specify what happened to them. They
taught us how to get the BMI of the patient. I learn a lot even it was our first week in RHU and
what more if we finished the 80 hours of our work immersion. Everyday, we get the height and
weight of the patient. I discover more things about the medical field. Even I’m not familiar to the
things they do, they are willing to teach you even they are on their work.
On the following days, I still learn different things especially in the laboratory, they are
so kind, they will let you to surround and discover to give you knowledge. In RHU, they share
their experiences and because of that I gain information of what I’m going to take in college.
Punctuality is vey important because it makes you realize that time counts and it makes you
serious in terms of the time. It is just like you are in a real job; you need to follow the right time

Having a work immersion was a great opportunity for us to prepare also ourselves to the
reality. On our last week of work immersion, time flew so fast. I really love what I’m doing
because whenever I’m tired if I helped someone it changes to happiness. I learn how to focus, to
be patient, punctual and be serious anytime. In working, you need to work perseverance to finish
the given task easily. We are in the A.P room and the midwife let us to find the heartbeat of the

Introduction

Work Immersion prepares us to gain relevant and practical industrial skills under the
guidance of industry experts and workers. It was a great opportunity experiencing this kind of
task. Everyday of work immersion was challenging, we met new people on the same place and
we learn from them. My experience there was fun at the same time because of some patients who
makes us smile and laugh. One of the goals of the K-12 Basic Education Program is to develop
in learners the competencies, work ethic, and values relevant to pursuing further education
This subject will provide learners with opportunities: to become familiar with the work
As a Senior High School student the work immersion really help me to be informed of
what was the feeling to be on a workplace. You will learn not only by the personnel but also to
the new people that you met. You have to be patient all the time and accept the failures because
Academic institutions are faced with challenges particularly on the skills they produced
which do not match the needs of the industry. A great number of these skills found lacking by
companies are taught in the academe that is, technical, human resource and conceptual skills. In
addition to that, these same skills can also be reinforced through the on-the-job training.

want also to be patient like they do. I feel like I’m in a real job and it was fun and enjoying.
Even we know each other; it is different if you are working with them. You will know
that they are still the same but different if they are working. We adapt the skills of what the
personnel do. Our relationship becomes deeper because we have the unity and teamwork in
Sir Ronald is the one why we accomplished this task. He is there to guide us whenever
