a. What is your invention? What does it do?

My invention is something I would like to call a “Biomech”. Over the course of my
studies in the field of nursing, I have often come to realize how the human form tends to
be limiting, ephemeral and fragile. With this invention, we would be able to upload our
consciousness and the memories we have acquired over our lifetime into a much more
permanent and durable vessel free from the ravages of time and the limitations of our
mortality.

b. How is your invention similar to or different from existing tools or technologies

in terms of function and features?

In terms of functionality it would be quite similar to a hard drive or any computer storage
device since my invention would be capable of storing human memories and
experiences but it would also have the capabilities of a hybrid supercomputer which
would be necessary to facilitate the complex emotional and cognitive processes of a
fully grown and realized human being.

c. Why is there a need for this invention? How will this invention make the world a
better to place to live in?
I firmly believe that our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs are in essence, the things that
make us human and what are thoughts and memories but a complex amalgamation of
our experiences that our minds string together in order to form a coherent sense of self.
This invention could potentially be the next step towards human evolution especially
since gene altering and other methods of cloning tend to have ethical and moral
repercussions. With this invention, we as a species could finally be free of thirst, hunger,
death, and disease, we would no longer fight over petty things such as resources. Due
to the fact that we no longer require basic needs such as food and shelter, we can
finally focus our attention towards a higher sense of purpose. We could also configure
these vessels to be able to withstand extreme environments and temperatures, go to
places we could only dream of going. From the crushing depths of our dark and
mysterious ocean floor to the furthest reaches of the galaxy to where the stars
themselves go out and die.
