I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl
friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Messenger ( )‫ﷺ‬used to
enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet
would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls
and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that
time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.)

Role of Mushrif with Children
‫ع ْن ُه ْم َوا ْستَ ْغ ِف ْر لَ ُه ْم َوشَا ِو ْر ُه ْم فِي‬ ِ ‫ظ ْالقَ ْل‬
ُ ‫ب َالنفَضُّوا ِم ْن َح ْو ِل َك ۖ فَاع‬
َ ‫ْف‬ َ ‫غ ِلي‬َ ‫ظا‬ ًّ َ‫نت ف‬َ ‫نت لَ ُه ْم ۖ َولَ ْو ُك‬ َّ َ‫﴿فَبِ َما َر ْح َم ٍة ِمن‬
َ ‫َّللاِ ِل‬ .

﴾ َ‫ب ْال ُمتَ َو ِك ِلين‬ َّ َ‫عل‬


َّ ‫َّللاِ ۚ إِ َّن‬
ُّ ‫َّللاَ يُ ِح‬ َ ‫ت فَتَ َو َّك ْل‬ َ ‫ْاأل َ ْم ِر ۖ فَإِذَا‬
َ ‫عزَ ْم‬
]159 :‫[ آل عمران‬
by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you
had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from
about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in
the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah

‫الرفق في األمر‬
ِ ‫((إن هللا يحب‬:- ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬- ‫ قال رسول هللا‬:‫ قالت‬- ‫ رضي هللا عنها‬- ‫عن عائشة‬
.‫كله))؛ متفق عليه‬
‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah
(may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah is Lenient and He
loves leniency in all matters."

‫ ما ال يعطي على‬،‫ ويعطي على الرفق‬،‫ «إن هللا رفيق يحب الرفق‬:‫وعنها أن النبي صلى هللا عليه وسلم قال‬
‫ متفق عليه‬:‫ [الحديث األول‬- ]‫ [صحيح‬.»‫ وما ال يعطي على ما سواه‬،‫العنف‬
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah is Lenient
and He loves leniency. He rewards for leniency what He does not reward for
harshness or for anything else."
