Did you know that the CTC program is free to grade 12 students? The CTC program allows students
to graduate from high school with their first year of technical training.One of the programs I
discovered was the Marine Service Technician.The other program I found interesting was the
Motorcycle and Marine Technician course.

Through my teacher, Miss Ruckstuhl, I have gained valuable insight into the diverse career technical
training programs offered in Nanaimo,Including those that align with my future career plans.I am
most interested in the program's motorcycle and marine technician, which well fits into my
professional aspirations, and I plan to pursue a career in this field.

I learned about the career opportunities the various career technical training programs lead to.The
motorcycle and marine technician program can lead to careers in the trades field, such as a marine
engineer and Coast Guard or any other jobs similar to that. Also any jobs working on small
engines.The average salary for a marine technician is $29 per hour. By learning all of these things, I
can research future careers and other interests I have.

The program I was most interested in was the Motorcycle and Marine Technician program.I was
most into it because it sounds like a better career opportunities and more knowledge.Also, it would
be really interesting to work on and learn about motorcycles.This CTC program could lead me
towards a career as a small engine or boat mechanic or something in the boating industry. All of
these things interest me and I am excited to look more into this career.

These programs fit into my future because I plan to join the Canadian Coast Guard.I plan to go to
school for something in marine safety or engines.I also want to get my First Aid and CPR
certificate.If I were to do the CTC program I looked at, it would help me on my way to become a
Coast Guard.These steps are important to me to ensure I am prepared for my future career.

If I were to complete the CTC program, Motorcycle and Marine technician, it would somewhat set me
up to be a Coast Guard.In the first part I talked about what is the CTC program and what programs I
discovered.After that, I talked about what I learned and my opinions.Later I talked about how doing
the CTC impacts my future career plans. These were all great facts I learned about the Marine
careers.I am excited to learn and research more about them.
