I. Course Design
English for Maritime course is a course to develop the language of students in the world of maritime, especially communication
with the crew using English, which in maritime mostly interact with foreigners. In addition, in the writing of a report, usually the
company asks in English. The aim of this learning is to provide skills in speaking and writing. The method used is the lecture
method, holding exercises to improve skills and listening to the pronunciation of native speakers.
II. Standard of Competence
Upon the completion of this course, the students are expected to be able to:
1. Can communicate using English
2. Can understand maritime terms in English
3. Understand maritime instruction in English
