‫רציונל‪:‬‬
‫א פידמיולוגיה הינו מדע העוסק בחקר תפוצת מחלות באוכלוסייה וגורמיהם‪ .‬היעד העיקרי של‬
‫האפידמיולוגיה הוא למנוע מחלות ותופעות אחרות העלולות לקצר את משך חייו של האדם או‬
‫לפגוע באיכותם‪ .‬בתחילת דרכה עסקה האפידמיולוגיה בחקר מחלות זיהומיות‪ ,‬אך כיום שיטות‬
‫החקר האפידמיולוגיות מיושמות לכלל תחומי הבריאות‪.‬‬

‫מטרות הקורס‪ :‬קורס זה הינו קורס מבוא לתיאוריות ולשיטות במדע האפידמיולוגיה‪ .‬מטרת‬
‫הקורס היא להקנות לסטודנט הבנה של העקרונות והשימושים הבסיסיים באפידמיולוגיה‪.‬‬

‫יעדי הקורס‪:‬‬
‫בסיום הקורס על הסטודנט להיות מסוגל‪:‬‬
‫‪ .1‬להבין את המושגים שבשימוש באפידמיולוגיה‬
‫‪ .2‬להגדיר ‪,‬להבין ולחשב שיעורי תחלואה ותמותה‬
‫‪ .3‬להבחין בין הסוגים העיקריים של מחקרים אפידמיולוגיים ולנתח מערכי מחקר שונים‬
‫‪ .4‬להכיר את היתרונות והחסרונות של סוגי המחקרים באפידמיולוגיה‬
‫‪ .5‬לחשב את מדדי הקשר בין חשיפה למחלה ולהגדיר סיבתיות באפידמיולוגיה‬
‫‪ .6‬להכיר את המדדים להערכת יעילות של בדיקות ניפוי ואבחון‬

Goals/ At the end of the course, the student will:

Learning 1. Understand concepts used in epidemiology.

epidemiological studies.

disadvantages of types of studies in
epidemiology.
5. Calculate measures of association between
exposure and disease, and define causality
in epidemiology.
6. Be familiar with measures for evaluating the
effectiveness of screening and diagnostic
tests.

Course Epidemiology is the science that studies the

description / occurrence of diseases in the population and
summary their causes. The primary goal of epidemiology is
to prevent diseases and other health conditions
that may shorten the life span or impair the
quality of life. Epidemiology was initially involved
in the study of infectious diseases, but today
epidemiological research methods are applied to
all areas of health.
This course is an introductory course to theories
and methods in the science of epidemiology. The
main aim of the course is to provide the student
with an understanding of the basic principles and
uses of epidemiology.
