NATIONAL ARTS MONTH 2023 NARRATIVE REPORT

Promulgated by then President Corazon Aquino in 1991, Presidential Proclamation No. 683 declares February
of every year as National Arts Month to celebrate artistic excellence and pay tribute to the uniqueness and diversity of the
Filipino heritage and culture.

This year’s theme "Ani Ng Sining, Bunga Ng Galing," for February and March, comes with various exciting
face-to-face and online activities. The theme aims to immerse Filipinos in diverse cultural expressions and celebrate the
bountiful harvest of the Filipino imagination.

The theme “galing” refers to excellence in the arts as both a source of bounty despite challenging times, and a
product of the passion of Filipino artists and cultural workers. In celebrating National Arts Month in 2023, “galing” alludes
to artistic excellence as well as underscoring the capacity of the arts to heal, rebuild, and restore in a post-pandemic setting.

Mr. Macial D. Termoso the principal of the school in his message emphasized the importance of arts in
our daily life. The activities was given by Ms. Eunice R. Nemeño, the school MAPEH coordinator.
Teachers were agreed on having the activities in the classroom during their time in MAPEH. The
activities were Clay Molding, Paper Mosaic, Water Color Painting and Drawing.

The pupils exerted their effort and showed eagerness in participating in this activity. The event was
culminated by awarding of winners at the end of the celebration. Values inculcated while doing these
activities were cooperation, love of work, discipline, accuracy, timeliness, honesty,
and resourcefulness.
