1 Trong những năm gần đây, sự phát triển mang tính “bùng nổ” (booming development) của Internet được xem
là một thành tựu công nghệ vĩ đại (achievement), nó tác động (affect/ influence/ have effects on) đến mọi mặt
của đời sống. Nguyên nhân (causes) của sự gia tăng đột biến ấy và hệ quả (effects/ impacts) của nó đã và đang
là mối quan tâm (concern) chính của toàn xã hội. Bài luận này cho phép chúng ta (grant us) có cách nhìn cụ thể
hơn về nguyên nhân và tác động của sự “bùng nổ” Internet.

2 Một sự thật không thể phủ nhận là sự phát triển nhanh của Internet bắt nguồn từ (result from) chính những
lợi ích mà nó mang lại cho người sử dụng. Thứ nhất, Internet giúp người sử dụng tiếp cận (access/ approach)
thông tin nhanh chóng và đa dạng ở mọi lĩnh vực. Điều thú vị là với một vài nhấp chuột (some clicks), hầu hết
các thông tin cần thiết đều có thể được tìm thấy trong vài giây (in a matter of seconds). Một lợi ích khác nữa là
Internet đang dần thay thế (replace) các hình thức giải trí khác. Thực tế, người dùng Internet có thể nghe nhạc,
xem phim họ yêu thích hoặc thiết kế một bưu thiếp điện tử (e-card) để tặng những người họ yêu thương một
cách dể dàng. Tất cả chỉ cần họ sở hữu một máy tính có kết nối Internet (a connected computer). Ý cuối
nhưng không kém quan trọng (last but not least) là Internet giúp kết nối (connect) con người. Nhờ sự ra đời
(the development/ advent of) của các mạng xã hội trên Internet, mọi người có thể kết nối với nhau (stay in
touch/ keep in contact) dù họ ở bất cứ nơi nào, bất kể giai cấp (social class) hay lứa tuổi nào. Nói cách khác,
các tiện ích mà Internet mang lại đã và đang làm cho dịch vụ này ngày càng phổ biến.

4 Rõ ràng là Internet có ảnh hưởng rất lớn (have huge impacts on) đối với toàn xã hội. Trước hết, ở phương
diện vĩ mô (in a broad sense), nó làm tăng nhanh (speed up) sự toàn cầu hóa. Việc giao thương (trading) giữa
các quốc gia, thâm chí giữa các châu lục, có thể được thực hiện (carry out) dễ dàng và nhanh chóng hơn nhờ
Internet. Trong quá khứ, chẳng hạn, người ta phải mất nhiều tuần để gửi và nhận một văn kiện kinh doanh
(business document) do hệ thống bưu tín (courier system/ postage system) chậm chạp. Ngày nay, các văn kiện
kiểu ấy có thể được gửi qua email trong vài giây. Nhờ vào các ứng dụng của Internet, việc các doanh nhân hoặc
chính trị gia có thể thường xuyên hội họp qua Video-conference đã giúp tăng cường sự hiểu biết lẫn nhau
(enhance mutual understanding), và thắt chặt (tie up) các quan hệ. Bên cạnh đó, ở phương diện vi mô (in a
narrow sense), sự phát triển của Internet còn giúp các ngành nghề khác phát triển nhanh hơn. Bàn về giáo dục,
Internet giúp các ngôi trường ở vùng sâu (in remote areas) có thể tiếp cận với các chuyên gia dù thực tế là họ
không thể đến những nơi ấy. Ở lĩnh vực y tế, Internet giúp các bác sỉ trên trái đất có thể tư vấn phẫu thuật
(conduct a surgery counselling) cho một bệnh nhân trên vệ tinh, ngoài không gian (in outer space). Không có
internet, những việc này hầu như không thể thực hiện được.

6 Nói tóm lại, Internet đang giữ một vai trò quan trọng trong sự phát triển của toàn xã hội. Tuy nhiên, người sử
dụng Internet cần được đào tạo để sử dụng đúng và hiệu quả nhất.

Nowadays, more people are choosing to live with friends or alone rather than with their families. This trend is likely to
have a NEGATIVE effect on COMMUNITIES. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Intro:

- In this fast - developing pace of society, work and study opportunities/ grow/ much more quickly/ ever before.
Therefore, it/ common sight that/ increasing number/ people/ shift away from their roots. Sometimes, it/ a
preference rather than a necessity to share a house/ friends/ or live/ alone.
- While/ attempt/ support the view/ this trend/ affect/ communities adversely or detrimentally, I/ convinced/
there/ various views/ how it influences the society.
- This essay/ grant/ chance/ discuss/ issue/ detail.

Body:

- On the one hand, it/ maintained that/ living independently from families/ a sign of maturity and responsibility.
+ decision to relocate/ require, a sense of self – reliance. It/ argued that/ once/ move out to live, / they/ cope
with any obstacles/ themselves, ranging from/ household chores/ their studies or business. As a result, they/
become mature/ independent/ their thinking and whatsoever/ do.
+ From a social perspective, it/ believed that/ development/ such virtues/ eventually/ add to/ overall health/
communities, and that/ everyone/ benefit/ the practice.

- On the other hand, though/ qualities/ independence/ self-reliance/ often seen/ individuals/ live away/ families,
it/ not mean/ they/ not present in those/ live/ loved ones.
+ Furthermore, there/ numerous interpersonal skills, mutual respect for example, / be effortlessly inculcated in
a family setup. For a cohesive society, tolerance to others/ an essential virtue/ which/ often tested with parents/
spouses/ children/ other members of a family.

+ Contributing to responsibilities/ foster/ the sense of belonging. When living independently, people/ tendency/
think for themselves/ do what/ benefit/ them. It/ not/ case/ when/ people/ families. Any communities/
undoubtedly/ prosper/ with/ values.

Conclusion:

- To conclude, it/ seems/ me/ there/ benefits of staying alone, any society/ more positively affected by more
people choosing to live with their families.
