 Ask the following:
1. What can you observe in flash cards? They are doing
something teacher.
2. Correct, are they doing something which involves
action? Yes, teacher.
3. Do you think you can perform these actions? Yes
teacher.
4. What do we call the “Action words? “Verbs teacher”.
 Let the learners answer the “CLICK” on page 150.
 Let the learners play charades. Pick one verb from your
flashcards, act it out and let their classmates guess the action.

Abstraction  Our topic is about Verb.


 What is verb? Verb is an action word.
 Correct, it means that it involves action or movements.
 One way to write a verb is to add -ing in the end. When you
put -ing at the end, it means that the action is happening at the
moment or now. Please observe and answer the table on page
151.
 On the same page, look the reminder, do you still remember the
be verbs? Yes teacher.
 These are special verbs that do not show direct action.
 These are the am, is, are.
 In this lesson we will combine the be verbs and the verbs in -
ing form when we write sentences. You can think of it as a math
equation.

Noun/I+ be verb+ verb in -ing form.

Application  Let the learners examine the examples on page 152.


 Let them answer Activity A (page 152)
 Let them answer Activity D (page 155)
 Let them pick a pair (boy,girl) and read aloud the dialogue with
a partner.

Assessment  Let the learner answer Activity B page (153).
