SYLLABUS ON FUNDAMENTALS OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

Course No. PRPO120 Course Descriptive Title : Fundamentals of Political Science


No. of Units: 3 No of Hours : 54 hours/ semester 3 hours/ week
Pre-requisites: None

Course Description:
Defines the basic concepts of political science (power, state government ideology, nation, political forces) the types of political system and the processes of
political development. An account of both the orientation and changed world circumstances. It focuses on our Nation’s birth pangs of a restored democracy. A
society repenting from its selfishness, greed and morality. It also relates the fundamental principles/and down by the different philosophers. On Politics and
Political Dynamics, Government, International Law, International Diplomatic Relations and International Organizations.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILO):


At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

1. Identify and differentiate the principles and doctrines in Political Science


2. Manifest understanding of the fundamental forms of government in the Philippines.
3. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and positive attitude as a Citizen of the Philippines
4. Analyze the importance of the State, Government, Political Dynamics and International Law.
5. Apply and Integrate in their own personal lives the importance of the different principles and doctrines in governance
